Summary: when Naomi brainwashed Cas into killing Dean
Word count: (18)

No point of view:

The first time Castiel was forced to kill Dean he cried. He cried so hard it was unreal. He sobbed into his growing cold body, apologizing, saying how he wished it didn't have to go down this way. Naomi had disapproved.

The second time he had to kill him he also cried. And also the third, fourth, fifth, tenth, twentieth... The tears stopped somewhere around 37.

Then came the anger. At Naomi, at the world, at himself, at God. Why did he test him like that? Why would he? For what?! Why would he want Castiel to hurt this way? This couldn't be a test. No one could be this cruel. This was something that could have come from the mind of Lucifer.

His attacks on the fake Dean were much more brutal, he finished killing him much quicker, bloodier. Naomi still disapproved, because she knew what was coming next. He had to become the perfect little soldier that Dean ruined. She wanted that soldier back again.

He had his first meltdown at kill 238. He killed Dean. And right before his final breath, that fake Dean whispered out a dying "please". So he died. And Castiel cried. Again. He broke down in tears, whispering "I'm sorry" over and over again. Two angels tried to pull him back when he kissed the fake Dean's forehead, and he killed them both.

Naomi had decided they'd try again in a few more hours.

He had three more similar meltdowns that cost them around 10 angels.

At kill 409 he became desperate. His moves became sloppier, he became more and more tired. He huffed and puffed and begged Naomi to just stop, make it stop.

She told him to continue.

And so he did. He went on and on, piles of piles of his best friend, the man he loved, the man who showed him the way of free will, the man who showed him everything, lying on the floor, dead, over and over again.

He had blood all over him, his clothes, his face, his hands, his hair, but did he care? No.

The point he broke was when he realized that even if he stopped now, the damage of everything he had done, would mentally make him past saving. The damage was irreversible.

And after a while, it all dimmed down. The sadness, the anger, the guilt, the desperation, the love for Dean, it all died down.

And that was when Naomi smiled for the first time. Because she had gotten what she wanted. He was ready.

Castiel had become completely numb.
