AURORA
After I found Ellis' note. I legit lost my mojo in life. I was just not interested in life. My dad and I eventually decided to move from Vancouver Beacon. There was nothing left here for either of us.
Days of sorrow had turned into weeks into months and into years. And now three years later. I still think about Ellis. Perhaps eventually I'll get over him. But not anytime soon and definitely not today.
Now in our new suburb in Mandeville, I attended my last high school years there and graduated last year. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet. Maybe go into psychology, maybe write a novel I dunno. I've always loved English at school.
Oh well my coffee at the coffee shop was up and today I was meeting up with my dad's new girlfriend Maya. Shame she's so sweet, I chucked lightly as I remembered the first day I met her. She was trying to convince my dad to let her get a snake when they move in together .
Can you imagine?
But my dads face is what killed me, I laugh softly now as I clearly remem--"you're doing it again." I looked at the source of the voice as he sighed and ran his hand through his brown hair. I looked down after a minute, willing my mind to come back from crazy town. God I was going nuts now. Then I looked into his gray eyes.
"Oh my god no," was the last thing I said before I bolted out of the coffee shop. I can't believe this, I was going mad. My life was officially over. I was a mad woman, hello looney bin' it's me. Why am I fucking seeing and hearing Ellis. He's probably haunting me now .
-"Aurora Grace wait."
This was madness, I will not stand in the open talking to no one. People will for sure volunteer to drive me to the looney bin themselves . Not that i'd blame them.
-"Aurora Grace, please let me explain"
ELLIS
After spending literally an hour and a half trying to convince Aurora Grace I wasn't a ghost by waving at people and paying the waitress that came out running because Aurora Grace had shot out of the shop without paying. She finally believed I was not a ghost .
We were now seated on the pavement on the side of the road because Aurora Grace was convinced if I wasn't a ghost then I'd burn. Like wtf?
"Aurora Grace we're going to sunburn if we um, don't move"
-"how Ellis? How is this possible?"
"Well you see the sun uv rays are very very-"
Aurora cut me off -"no Einstein I mean how is it that you're alive?"
"Right that. Well after my participation in the fight against Lynette with you and Tobias and Elizabeth, the elder council granted all of us a wish. And mine was to be reunited with you.
I'm sorry it took me so long to find you"She was crying again. Her hair that was now up to her waist was furiously platted and rolled into a bun. I'd never seen her with long hair, she'd always cut it. But I loved it. I loved her. I still do now. Everything about her was enchanting . Her walk. My goodness. I loved this woman with my whole life. I'd lay down so she could walk on me if she wanted. She's my world.
-"6 months Ellis. 6 months I searched everywhere for you. The park, the museum, the school,
'The train tracks'" we said together.-"how do you know" she asked. Still sobbing.
"Because those are the very same places I've been searching at for the past year"Aurora Grace flung her arms over my neck. And pulled me closely.
How I'd longed to witness this moment, finally feel her warmth to an extent and kiss her softly human lips .-"I love you Ellis . You're a part of me. A huge fucking part of me. I love you so much . And I accept you with all your flaws." She smirked as we got up to leave .
"Flaws?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
-"yep, remember those blue bootleg jeans you were wearing the first time I saw you?"Aurora Grace was full on laughing as she said that. We were holding hands and walking to my car since she walked here. She had to balance on the car to catch her breath-look at me- then laugh again. I rolled my eyes and sighed .
She was so beautiful. Her eyes lit up when she laughed and her dimples stood proudly displayed . I really was a lucky man. I loved this girl. God I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying that.
"Okay Aurora Grace you've had your fair share of laughter can we go now?"
-"yes grumpy bear. I can't wait for my dad to see you." Aurora ran up to me and kissed me. I held her waist and kissed her back. Hard . Eager. Until I felt something stir in my pants.
I pulled away from Aurora and looked at the ground . This had never happened before. Ever. At some point I even thought I was sick.
-"hey . There's nothing wrong with you," Aurora smiled. "Since you're alive now, your body parts are more responsive. We'll deal with that later okay? Now let's go scare my dad." She gave me a kiss again.
-"well well well, if it isn't the two lovebirds."
Aurora Grace's eyes widened as she pulled away from me and flung herself at Tobias full force!
Wow, and I had to sit in the sun for hours but Tobias gets a hug no questions asked.
-"omg Toby!"
Toby gave my girl another hug before shrugging.
-"so? Are we gonna scare the shit out of Chris or nah?"
