Deep breaths Lia. It's been fifteen minutes since he left and I've been sitting in my car, trying to steady my breathing. I hate this. I hate him. Geez.
"Screw it, I'm going in." I mumble to myself. I take one more deep breath and stepped out of my car.Walking inside wasn't any better. The rumor about me ditching class with Max is spreading like wildfire. Public school.
"Lia Marie Wilde, you have got some serious explaining to do!" I heard a very familiar voice yell at me. I had no time to respond before i was being pulled back out to my car. Lord help me.
The second my car door was closed I was met face to face with my very angry best friend.
"Hello, how's your day?" I asked with a smile.
"Cut your shit Lia. Start talking."
I sighed. Taking a deep breath I began to tell her all the events that happened at lunch. By the time I was finished Maria looked like she had seen a ghost."Look, Maria. It's really not a big d-"
"NOT A BIG DEAL!? MAX FUCKING HUNTER JUST CONFESSED HE LIKES YOU AND YOU HAVE TO AUDACITY TO TELL ME ITS NOT A BIG DEAL!?"
I really didn't understand why she's so excited about it. Everyone knows he's just a stupid player. I just know he's going to try to get with me then throw me to the curb.
"Maria, we all know how he is. He's just faking everything"
"Maybe he's not, he's never taken a girl out to lunch."
I scoffed at her pathetic excuse. I'm sure that Max has taken at least one girl beside me to lunch. He's the type to get what he wants and if that includes him buying lunch for a one night stand, he'll do it. Geez he's pathetic. How could anyone actually fall for his stupid tricks?
"Really? That's your excuse? Wow Maria I think your losing your touch."
She just scoffed at me and remained quiet. I decided to just go home, I really wasn't feeling up to my last few classes. I told Maria and after a whole argument she reluctantly got out so I can drive home.
While driving i realized that I need a way to steer Max out of my direction. The question is how do I get a bad boy to hate me?
