Awkward doesn't even come to mind right now.

Surprisingly Max kept his promise to not touch me but in my sleep my head found its way to his chest. As much as I hate saying this I can't help but think how nice it is.

"Who would've thought you were one for breaking rules"

Oh no he's awake. Okay maybe if I act like I'm asleep I can casually roll over. Easy. So I did just that, I kept my eyes shut and rolled so he was facing my back. I thought I was off the hook till i heard a sleepy chuckle that caused butterflies to erupt in my stomach. I felt him scooting closer till I could hear him breathing.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Fed up with his games, I sat up and looked him in the eyes.

"What are you still doing here?"

"Oh come on, you know you love spending time with me."

I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him. I then proceeded to get up and walk to the bathroom.

"You have till I'm done showering to get out of my house" I said over my shoulder.

Once I was inside I let out a breathe I didn't even know I was holding. He's trying to affect me and it's working. This is not good.

Walking into school, my mind was set. I wore my favorite summer dress and I had my eyes set for Nathaniel Stone.  Daniel Stones fraternal twin. Also Max's best friend. Nathan wasn't as popular as Daniel but he definitely had girls swooning as he walked through the halls. Me and him have talked multiple times and actually went to sophomore homecoming together. If there was any guy I had the courage to mindlessly flirt with. It'd be Nathan.

"Nathan!" I shouted as I saw him and he sent me a smile that would have girls fainting.

I went up to him noticing Max seeing me approach him. Once in front of him I threw my arms around his muscular shoulders hugging him. I felt his hand slip around my waist, a little too low but I said nothing of it.

"So" I said as I twirled a piece of my hair. "What are you doing tomorrow?"

At this point Max and the whole hall were listening in.

"Nothing really."

He leaned against the locker and tried my hardest not to laugh and how cliche he made it look.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to get coffee with me, maybe see a movie"

"Sounds great. What time?"

"I was thinking 5." I mentally cringed at how stupid I sounded.

"I'll see you then"

He walked away and all I heard was a locker slamming then the doors. I looked over to were I last saw Max to see my suspicions were right.

He left.
