It seemed as if after I got the text, time slowed down. I was anxious. I was also creating a plan to get him to call off his "deal".
I hate the thought of me being the center of attention. I usually laid low. I had one friend. I sat in the middle of the class so I won't be seen. It all worked out really well.
That is up until now.
Suddenly thinking about how he completely and utterly ruined my chance in a happy and regular final year of high school made me furious.
Finally the bell rung and I was out of the class faster than anyone.
I was mad. I made my way to the parking lot and spotted a familiar body by a familiar bike.
I walked up to him and the second he saw me, he plastered his stupid smirk.

"Hop on"

"No" I said firmly

"Excuse me?"

" I said no" I slowed down my words a bit like I was talking to a 5 year old. I didn't know where this sudden confidence came but I wasn't going to question it.

"Where did this feisty attitude come from"
He didn't look scared, actually he looked amused. Which only made me even more angrier.

"Stop looking so smug and explain why you want to ruin my life!"
He stared at me with a cold expression. This lasted for a solid minute till he did the unexpected. He laughed. His laugh was so rich and smooth. It was nice. It actually made me smile.

"Well?" He snapped my out of my daze

"Huh" I was confused. I hadn't realized I zoned out.

"Are you going to unlock your car or would you like to go back to staring at me"

He raised his eyebrow and gave a suggesting grin.

I just scoffed at him and started walking toward my car.
This was going to be a long ride....

We arrived at a small café. It's wasn't too far from school, which was good for me. The place was really cute and had kind of an old school theme to it.
Anyway back to the devil himself. I didn't know how this lunch would go, I expected shouting and cold glares. Yet all that was happening at the moment was awkward silence.
The waiter had already came and asked our orders. So we were left with each other till our food and drinks arrived.

I'm probably exaggerating when I say we haven't talked for 100 years but I think the accurate amount was five minutes. I took a deep breathe preparing to break this cell of awkwardness.

"Well?" I asked
This seemed to have been enough for him to start talking.

"I'm not trying to ruin your life." He said it so clearly and I was shocked that his voice wasn't an actual growl.

"Then explain why you so badly want to 'change' me."

"Maybe I like you"

I stared at him, he stared at me.  I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing. The type where your stomach hurts and your cheeks hurt as well.

"You?" I was still laughing at this point.

When I finally settled down, I looked at him with a cut the nonsense and tell me the truth look.
When he didn't start speaking up. I opened my mouth to say something but he cut me off.

"Let's just go somewhere else."
