Chapter 3
Tuesday morning I woke up feeling like shit. “Ughh, this is why people don’t throw parties Monday nights.” I got up and took a nice hot shower to help me wake up. I got dressed in jeans, combat boots, and a loose purple tank. I French braided my hair and went down stairs. I didn’t have time for breakfast since I woke up late. I said goodbye to Auntie D and Maggie and went to school. It was already lunch, the day went by quickly because I had Forensics, chorus, and history. I had history alone, forensics with Ang, and chorus with Rose. After getting a caesar salad and cherry coke, I looked around for my friends. I spotted Ang and Zach over in the corner of the café. I walked over and we were soon joined by Rose. We were in the middle of talking about how much we hated school and complaining about how much homework we had when Rose suddenly started jumping up an down.
“Ummm, are you okay Rose,” I asked with a slightly concerned face. “OMG. You will never believe what my dad just texted me.” I gave her a look that said to continue. “My parents got called away to work and they won’t be back for like a month.” Ang, Rose, and I started jumping up and down laughing excitedly. “Why are you so happy about your parents going away for a month. Most kids would be upset,” Zach said clearly not understanding what was going on. Ang looked at us. “Ughh. I got this.” She looked at Zach and in the girliest voice I’ve ever heard she yelled “SLUMBER PARTY MOTHERFUCKER!!!!” The whole cafeteria was now looking in our direction, shocked at Ang’s outburst. She quickly turned around and said quite politely “Go back to whatever you were doing unless you wish to die a slow painful death.” With that being said everyone went back to talking amongst themselves.
“So what time should I come over for the slumber party,” someone whispered in my ear. I turned around to find Chad standing there with a smirk on his face. He is so annoying sometimes. I decided to have a little fun of my own and play along. “How about you swing by at around 7 o’clock sharp,” I said trailing my finger down his chest. “If you’re late, you’ll be punished,” I whispered, trailing kisses from his ear to the base of his neck. I winked at him. When I went to turn around I felt like I slammed into a wall. Before I could fall on my ass, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. My breath hitched. I knew who it was before I even looked up into the most beautiful pair of brown eyes. “Falling for me already,” he asks with a smirk. And the moment is ruined. “Actually I was just telling Chad here to swing by my place at 7 tonight. Anyway, see you around neighbor.” I smile when his smirk disappears. I see an emotion flash across his face before I walk away. If I didn’t know any better I’d say he was jealous.
After softball practice the girls came over my house. I looked at my phone and saw that it was almost 7. Knowing Chad, he would have taken my invitation to come over seriously and would be arriving late. Well girls I guess we have to get ready. As soon as everything was in place, the doorbell rang. I looked at my phone and saw it was 7:28. I rolled my eyes and went to open the door. I opened it and standing there smirking was Chad. “You’re late,” I say smiling seductively. “Ooops,” he says checking me out. I had showered and changed into leggings, heels, and a tank top that let him look right down my shirt, since he was taller than me. “You know what that means. You have to be punished.” As soon as I said the words the plan started. I couldn’t wait.
Noah’s Pov
I was outside washing my car, when I saw Chad pull into Sky’s driveway and walk up to her door. She came out looking sexy as hell. They were whispering to each other. Then she said, “You know what that means. You have to be punished.” Next thing I know, Chad is drenched in what looks like meat juice and is being chased by Sky’s husky. I look around and find Angela on the roof with a bucket in her hand looking like she’s about to piss herself and Rose is standing in the middle of the lawn videoing Chad screaming like a little girl while being chased by a giant dog. I look over to see Sky with a self-satisfied smirk on her face. She turns to look at me and mouths, “He got what he deserved.” I have to agree with her on that. Chad is a total self-absorbed man whore. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a virgin and do enjoy sex, but this dude gets laid every night and has probably bagged every girl in school. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out he has and STD or something.
Chad’s screaming brings me back to reality. I look around and realize his pants have a giant hole in them and Snow is standing next to Sky her tail going back and forth. “You are a real bitch, you know that!” Snow growls at him and he jumps back. “Actually yes, yes I do.” Chad storms back to his car and drives away. The girls start laughing together. They go inside. Before Sky enters, she pauses. She turns and looks around. When she sees me staring at her she looks a little surprised. She smiles at me. When I smile back she turns and heads back inside. That was the first time I’ve ever seen her truly smile. Sure she smirks but this was a first time I’ve ever seen her smile. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. I went back inside showered and did my homework. My mom wasn’t back from work yet so I decided to go and pick up some pizza. As I was leaving I saw a black van with tinted windows parked on the side of the street. When I drove by they sped away. Well that was weird.
When I got home my mom’s car was in the driveway. “Mom?” “In the kitchen.” When I walked into the kitchen she was there on her laptop working. She was a lawyer and was constantly working day and night. “Hey mom. I bought pizza.” I walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “ Hey honey. Sorry I’m home so late. How was school?” “Fine. How was work,” I said while grabbing some plates and two cans of coke. “Fine. Speaking of work, I’ll be away for a while starting next week. I have to go to New York. I’ll be gone for about two weeks.” She is usually gone for a while for work but she’s never been across the country before. “Ok.” After dinner, I did the dishes then went to bed.
Sky’s Pov
Once we were back inside we decided to do our homework. When we finished we decided to just watch movies in the home theatre before we fell asleep. “I’ll order the pizza you guys decide on the movie and meet me in the car,” I told them while walking away. 20 minutes later after stopping at the store and picking up the pizza we walked in with a large cheese pizza, two bottles of Fresca, kettle corn, popcorn, Swedish fish, snickers, twizzlers, and sour patch watermelons. We brought everything to the home theater and then went to change into pajamas. “Guys Zach texted me and said he was coming over and he doesn’t care if he is ‘crashing girls’ night,” says Ang. “Well I guess we’ll gave to just make him sorry then,” says Rose smirking. Once Zach arrived we put in the movie and then sat on the sofas. “So what are we watching,” Zach asked while laying his head in Ang’s lap. We all smirked and waited until the realization crossed his face as the movie started. “There is no way we are watching fucking Magic Mike,” he yelled. “Well you decided to crash our girls’ night so you really have no say in what we watch,” I said ever so calmly. “Whatever,” he muttered. By the time the movie was over all the food was gone. “O Jesus. I feel like a 9 month pregnant woman,” groaned Rose. We all started laughing. We all got up, I turned the lights off, and we went to my room after saying goodbye to Zach. Rose and I laid in my king sized bed while Ang took the air mattress. I fell asleep thinking about Noah’s eyes.
