Close to Death

Jung Kook's POV

After maths class, I decided to follow Casey. I'm worried about her & I also missed her. I asked Namjoon to tag along bcos he told me that he knew where she live.

But then, I realised that someone else was also following her. There were two men following Casey's every step.

When Namjoon & I saw something suspicious about those men, we sprang into action to save Casey. We fought verbally & physically. Everything happened too fast.

Before I knew it, I was staring at Casey being stabbed right in front of me. Everything was in slow motion. Everything sound muffled. Before Casey collapsed to the ground, I lifted myself off the ground & caught her. The two guys quickly ran away as they saw Casey's unconscious body. Namjoon quickly ran towards us & called the ambulance for help.

Instead of pulling out the knife from Casey's stomach, I held it in place. I learnt from somewhere that you shouldn't pull out the knife bcos it will cause the wound to bleed even more.

"Casey, hold on. Please, I beg you. Don't go." I whispered into her ear with tears rolling down my cheeks & onto her's.

At the hospital's waiting area...

I buried my face into my hands, waiting for Casey's surgery to be over. Namjoon was pacing back & forth. Soon, Jimin & Tae Hyung came running through the room.

"What happened!?! Is she okay!?!" Jimin said worriedly.

"Oh my god, how did this happen!?!" Tae Hyung asked.

"The guy who stabbed her was targetting our family. He thought Casey was still with Jimin hyung, so he tried to sell her. She was stabbed while trying to save me." I said looking down. I felt guilty. She took a stab for me.

Suddenly, the doctor who did surgery on Casey came out of a room. Everyone went to him, hoping that Casey is alright.

"May I know who is her guardian?" He asked. Jimin quickly stepped forward.

"Luckily, she didn't lose a lot of blood. It's a good thing that someone didn't pull out the knife or else she would've died from excessive bleeding. But we have to keep an eye on her condition for now in the ICU." Everyone started to relax a little.

As soon as Casey has woken up, she was moved to a VIP room. Everyone gathered around her bed.

Casey's POV (1 week later)

I opened my eyes & realised that I was at the hospital. Jimin, Tae Hyung, Jung Kook & Namjoon were in the room, staring at me with worried faces.

I turned to my right & saw Jimin holding onto my hand. As much as I missed him & wanted to hug him, only 2 words came out from my mouth, "Where's Jung Kook?" Jimin showed a disappointed look. I turned to my left & saw Jung Kook holding onto my hand.

"Yes, Case?" He asked.

"You're okay." I said to him softly while giving him a small smile. I'm so thankful that he's alive. He has so many people who loved him unlike me. I got no one. I'm glad I was the one who got stabbed & not him.

"Time to eat!" A nurse approached my bed. She set the table into place, over my bed & placed a bowl of porridge. However, I had no appetite to eat it.

As soon as everyone has left except for Jimin, I pushed the porridge away from me gently.

"Come on, you gotta eat." Jimin said pushing the porridge towards me.

"I don't wanna eat." I said, lying back down on my bed.

"You have to! Don't be stubborn." He got a little frustrated.

"And you shouldn't be persistent! I don't want to eat means I don't want to eat!" I rolled my eyes. He always have a hot temper. I wonder how I've dealt with it when we were together.

"Fine!" He throw his arms in the air in frustration & marched out of the room. A couple of minutes later, Jung Kook went in.

"Hey, you're not eating?" Jung Kook asked gently.

"No."

"Why?" He asked.

"I don't have the appetite."

"If you don't eat, I'll call the nurse to inject you instead." He said.

"Ya right.." I don't think he'll call the nurse. Well, I hope not. I hate needles.

"I will." He smirked as he slowly walk away from my bed to call a nurse.

"Can you please not? Fine... can you feed me?" I asked. I was not asking for attention from him. It's just that I've not eaten for quite a while, so I don't have the energy to feed myself.

"Sure." Jung Kook smiled sweetly.

Spoon after spoon he fed me while flashing me a smile.

"NOW then you eat? Oh wait it's because we have nothing going on already, huh?" Jimin rolled his eyes.

"No, it's not that. Jung Kook, could you please let us talk in private?" I asked sweetly while giving him an apologetic smile.

When Jung Kook left the room, I turned to Jimin & got off my bed slowly.

"Ya!What are you doing!?!" I could see that he was worried about me. Step by step, I slowly walked towards him & gave him a hug.

"I miss you." I whispered into his ear as tears started to fill my eyes.

"Really? You didn't seem happy to see me though. I miss you too."

"Saya sayang awak(I love you in Malay). Wo ai ni (I love you in Mandarin). Saranghaeyo (I love you in Korean). I didn't realise how much I miss you & love...you." My voice wavering as I drown myself in his eyes. He then gently pressed his lips on mine.

Jung Kook's POV

I was afraid that Casey & Jimin were going to fight, so I decided to walk into the room slowly to have a peek. But then, I stopped. My whole entire body froze & my heart sank. I thought I had the chance to be with Casey but when I saw her in Jimin's embrace, I doubt it.

Sorry for the late update. I'm finally having my last paper tomorrow.So ya. Sorry again. After tomorrow,I'll be very free. Well,kinda bcos I have to get ready for prom on the 21st of Nov. So sorry.
