Casey's POV
In the end, I did asked for Jimin's help. Jung Kook & Taehyung also helped out. They basically cleared all of my misconceptions. Now I fully understand the subjects. I would be a lost sheep if they did not help me. This why you should always ask for help when needed. Don't let your ego be the reason you fail.
Time flew really fast. It felt like I did the exams yesterday but today I will be receiving my results through the mail. So here I am with the guys, waiting impatiently for our results. Suddenly, there was the sound of letters sliding under the door.
"They're here! They're finally here!" Jung Kook shouted as he ran towards the letters. Tae Hyung running behind him.
"It's gonna be fine." Jimin smiled at me as he held onto my shaky hand. My future depends on this result.
As we walked towards Jung Kook & Tae Hyung, Jung Kook looked up at me & smiled as he handed me my letter. Everyone's attention turned to me as I opened the letter.
Congratulations, Casey Clarkson.
You've been accepted to Harvard Law School.
Oh. My. God. I got in.
"I got in! Oh my god!" I shouted as I went to hug the guys. I wouldn't be able to make it if it weren't for them.
"We knew you could get in. All your hard work has finally paid off. I'm so proud of you." said Tae Hyung as he gave me hug.
"No no. You guys were a huge help in helping me study."
Jimin then opened his result envelope. His smile falters.
"What's the matter, Jimin?" I asked worriedly.
"Guys, I'll just be in my room." Jimin quickly went up to his room and banged his door.
The three of us just looked at each other, puzzled. Taehyung and Jungkook gestured me to go to him. I quickly ran up to his room, knocking on his door. Even though I didn't hear any response, I just barged in anyways.
There was Jimin. On his bed, lying on his stomach with a pillow on his head. I looked down and saw his result envelope, laying on the floor. I went to pick it up. I couldn't believe my eyes. Why was he upset when he got into Harvard Business School? A school he wanted to go to so that he can pursue his father's business company.
"Jimin, this is good. This is what you wanted so why are you upset?" I sat at the edge of his bed while looking at his result slip. He started mumbling. "Huh!?!" I obviously still couldn't hear what he's saying as his head is buried in between the mattress and pillow.
"I said, I'm glad that I got into the business school but I will be so far from you. We would be too busy with our own stuffs to meet. I think I should appeal, right? Write a letter to the school?" He said as he went behind me, wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Wouldn't it be too late? I'm sure there's no empty spots anymore. You're not even interested in law. You wanted to pursue business. So go for it! Don't appeal to a different school just because of me. You'll only make me feel like a weight, bringing you down." I stood up which caught him by surprised. I looked at him with a serious look.
"But I'll be away from you..." He looked down at his hands.
"If you're gonna be like that, then we shouldn't be together." I got so angry that he made me feel like an obstacle, preventing him from pursuing what he wants to do.
"Stop saying that! We're over with that phase. I love you so much. Can't you tell?" He then stood up, holding onto my shoulders. Looking at me straight in the eyes.
"I can tell that you love me. I love you too. But I don't want...I don't want to stop you from pursuing what you want to do. If we're meant to be together..., God will give us the opportunity to see each other again in the future." I cupped his face with my hands, looking at his teared-eyes. It was hard for me to say it to him but I couldn't stand it. As much as I love him, I won't feel at ease if he decided not to accept the application to the business school.
"So it's over between us? Just like that?" A tear started rolling down his cheek. I nod. Giving him a hug and a kiss ever so softly as if it's our last. I then left the room. Leaving him standing there, zoning out.
After that, I decided to leave the house. I was able to earn enough money to get my own small apartment near the school. I didn't want to be dependent on this family. I have received so much from them.
It's a goodbye for now but probably won't be our last. We'll still be in Harvard anyways. Taehyung decided to go to Harvard College since he didn't know what he wanted to do. While Jungkook decided to choose Harvard Medical School to pursue in the health sector.
