The masquerade ball was literally glowing everywhere! It was beautiful!
Everything was golden and shiny.
A big glass chandellier hung from the roof follewd by little ones skatterd around it.
You could see your reflection in the floor!
And in the main ballroom floor all the walls were mirrors, it looked awesome!
"Wait! So thats your mystery guy?!" I heard Skylar squel to Millie.
I walked over to them and followed there gazes.
Oh great. I thought to myself as I saw the band on a raised platform setting up there musical instuments.
Come to think of it, they do look rather dashing.
All of them in white suites with black ties and black half faced masks.
"He's coming over here! Okay play it cool." Millie squeled to us before Drew appeared infront of us.
He grabbed millie from the back of her head and shoved his face against hers.
"Get a room." Skylar interuppted them.
"Get away." Drew growled at her.
"Drew, this is Skylar and you already know Haven." Millie said innotently.
"Yeah I do already know Haven, and Haven is mean." He commented like a 5 year old.
"Sooo... wheres Shiloh?" Millie pipped up.
"Hmm... I actually am going to go look for him." She drifted away scanning the crowds.
"Im going to go get some water, Do you guys want anything?" Millie asked like her sweet self as usual.
"Im good." I told her.
"Just bring me back... you." Drew said with a smile. Millie returned one before leaving for the refreshment stand.
"Soo..." Drew said nudging me with his elbow.
"What?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Well Millie came here for me... and Skylar came here for Shiloh... Who'd you come here for?" He asked winking at me.
"You know, I actually came here for myself, I dont need someone to control my life or make me go places." I snapped.
He let out a sigh.
"You know Haven, I saw the way you were looking at me the first night we met at the party. So if you ever wanna... I dont know... get together then-"
Im sorry but I had to cut him off.
"Excuse me? Are you off your meds!" I shrugged it off before continuing.
"Listen Drew, your a nice guy... well actually your a totall asshole, but Millie really likes you. Please, just treat her right, be there for her, dont hurt her, she dosent deserve it." I said quickly before Millie came back with Sky and Shiloh.
Shiloh glanced over to me and at that moment I couldnt stand that awkwardness.
"Im going to go get some air. I'll be back before the dance." I said quickly before heading outside.
"Wait! Let me come with you." Millie said before following me out.
We walked outsidde for a while, walking, talking until we heard the announcements thaty the dance would begin shortly from inside.
"Well before we go inside I want to tell you something." Millie said quickly.
"What?" I asked.
"Im going on tour with Drew and the band at Christmas break, for an entire month." She said not sounding happy, but with a smile.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" I asked her.
She stiffened a little.
"You just dont like the idea that I'll be alone with 4 guys for the entire break!" She snapped at me.
"No Millie its not that, Just, what if you guys have a fight or something and you dont have a way back or something?"
She just shrugged. "Its okay, im not worring about that, Im just happy I get to do something before I take my ASAT's." She smiled.
I smiled back at her and we both linked arms before going inside.
I went to an offside table and sat down as everyone on the dancefloor paired up and got into there position.
"Oh dear! It looks like one of our dancers couldnt make it. Is there any female out there that knows how to waltz?" A lady on a microphone asked.
AM I THE ONLY GIRL IN HERE WHO KNOWS HOW TO WALTZ?! I thought to myslef.
"Screw it." I murmered before raising my hand.
"Perfect!" The lady squeled.
Then another women came over to me and dragged me on the dancefloor.
She shoved me infront of this guy.
I found Millie and Skyalr not that far away with there partners.
"Well hello Haven." A familiar voice said from behind the half faced mask.
I pulled it off to see the lead singer staring back at me.
"Could this day get any worse?" I murmered.
He smiled.
"So... hows my boy treating your girl?" He asked in his low husky voice as we began to move swifltly to the music.
"I dont even want to talk about Drew right now." I said eyeing him across the floor.
"Sooo... Haven." He said chewing over my name.
"I havent gotten your name." I said hoping he would catch my drift.
"Its Karmichael, James Karmichael." He said tightening his grip around my waist. My heart flutterd at the sound of his name.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked.
"What?" I asked almost laughing at his randon question.
"That night, at the party, when I brought you home." He told me.
Oh! He was the one that brought me home?
Hes so nice.
As we moved across the dancefloor I couldnt think of anyone or anything else, but James Karmichael.
