I wake suddenly, every thought in high definition. My eyes take in the rays of light that shone through my window. I stare blankly at the ceiling, I can hear the noises of light traffic outside.

"I better make breakfast," I reminded myself as I pushed the blankets away from me.

I heard a soft snoring from beside me, and I turned to see my little brother, Satoru, sleeping peacefully on his futon. I smiled a little, pushing away the strands on his forehead behind his ear. Quietly, I tiptoed towards the door and grabbed my uniform that was hanging behind it. It was a rather simple uniform, just a skirt with a shirt and ribbon.

"Right... I am in High School now," I thought as I looked myself in the bathroom mirror. I sighed, leaning my hands on the sink.

I shook my head, clasping my hands on my cheeks and forced a smile to myself in the mirror. I tied my hair in my usual two low ponytails and put on the cooking apron. The oil hissed as I put in two eggs and cooked them into rolled omelettes. Then I went on to prepare the onigiri for our lunch of the day.

"Morning..." I heard Satoru greet me behind me, rubbing his eyes groggily.

"Breakfast will be ready soon," I flashed him a small smile.

He nodded his head, running towards the bathroom to wash my hands and face. He was in his second year of elementary school, still far from being the same height as me, which was a relief to me. I wouldn't want to see like a girl that was shrinking way too soon between her teenagehood.

"Sis! Are you excited for your first day of High School?" Satoru shouted from the bathroom, drying his face on a towel.

"Not really," I muttered quietly, putting the omelettes on a plate. "What about you? Are you alright with being in a new school and leaving all your friends?..."

"I don't mind! I know the reason as to why we moved to the countryside anyway," he responded, walking beside me. "Besides, that would mean that the two of us are independent of our own self, right?" he added enthusiastically, trying to pronounce the word 'independent' correctly. It was way too adorable I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Sure, sure," I patted his head.

I put the plate on the small wooden table in the middle of the living room. I slipped out of my apron and hung it on a cloth hanger.

"You can have both omelettes, I will leave first," I told him, walking over to the door with my school bag hanging my shoulder.

"Have a nice day!" he called out, smiling cheekily as he gobbled up an omelette.

It was not surprising that Karasuno had a simple school design, after all, I wasn't expecting much from a countryside village. Tokyo was modern and crowded, and the capital of Japan. For sure, they would want the capital to be the image of Japan. Though, I seemed to warm to the theme of this village. The people were lively and kind, unlike our neighbours back at the city.

There were students everywhere now, girls and boy chatting with each other and laughing in their own conversations. I did not know anyone.

"Well, it's not surprising," I thought to myself.

Since it was nearly at the mid of the year, I was sure that everyone in my new class wouldn't care about getting to know me since they already had their own little groups to talk to. I didn't really care either way, I had always been alone, even in Tokyo.

I walked over to the school building, taking off my shoes and put them inside my locker. The school had given me all the information in an email, so I knew what was I was in.

"First Year, Class 1," I murmured to myself as I was walking in the corridors, looking up for the class signs.

I stopped in front of my class, gulping a little. I wasn't very good with introductions in front of many. I hated getting attention from others. Before I could knock on the door, it flew open and a boy with ginger orange hair sprinted out of the class, followed by a tall black-haired boy that seemed to be chasing after him with a scary expression.

"Hinata!!!" the boy fumed, running even faster after the ginger boy.

"Scary..." I thought to myself, my eyes wide open.

I decided to wait outside the class until the professor came. It would be rude to just come inside without introducing myself. I stood there, my grip on my school bag tightening.

"Nagisa-chan? Is it?" a professor with round glasses asked, eyeing me closely.

"Yes," I replied.

"You can call me Takeda-sensei," he smiled a little at me. I simply nodded my head, following him inside the room.

"Alright class, today we have a new transfer student coming to out class!" the teacher announced, quietening the students. My legs were shaking non-stop and my feet were rooted to the ground. Everyone was looking at me.

I took the chalk that the teacher offered and I wrote my name on the blackboard. "Nagisa Jun. Nice to meet you," I tried to say it was clearly and fluent as possible. I didn't want to give any good or bad impressions about myself. Just plain and boring will do.

"Nice to meet you," the class cheered simultaneously.

"Your desk is beside Hinata-kun, you may take a seat," he gestured, smiling cheerfully. He looked surprisingly young for being a teacher.

I averted my eyes to the ginger haired boy yet again. He seemed excited to have me seating beside him. His eyes were shining hopefully, just like how Satoru would act when I came back home with a box.

"Where are you from?" Hinata asked quickly after I sat down.

"Tokyo, why?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Tokyo?!" he exclaimed a little too loudly.

I bit my lip, everyone around us was looking at me and him. I just fished out my textbook from my bag and opened it in front of me, covering my embarrassed face.
