"I still don't know what club to join," I told Akane during our break the next day.
"Hmm..." she hummed in reply as she sipped her milk. "How about Mathematics? You are pretty good with that subject."
"I don't want to be spending any more time on things that I already know," I said flatly.
"Is that so..." she trailed off. "More importantly, how is it going with Nishinoya-senpai?" she smirked at me, nudging me. "Have you two kissed? Or- or have you guys done that already?" She demanded, sipping her milk excitedly.
"Just what kind of person do you expect me to be..." I shook my head. "Nishinoya isn't that kind of a person either..."
"How are you so sure?" she pouted, looking out of the window. "You know... boys like it when girls are flirty to them or wear short skirts."
"S-short skirts?" I stuttered, almost choking on my food.
"You know, like mini skirts... together with sleeveless shirts," she explained, chuckling a little at my expression. "Jun, you are so ignorant to modern fashion," Akane whined.
"I am not ignorant, I just don't believe that doing so insolent things will help my relationship with Yuu..."
"Oh? You two are already using first names to each other?" she grinned, but I ignored her. "Nishinoya seems to be the kind of guy who would want a girl to be sexy."
"S-sexy?!" I choked.
"Jun, you really have changed!" she laughed. "You seem to show some emotion finally!"
"What the heck is that supposed to mean..."

"Man, I'm tired!" Yuu yawned loudly, stretching his hands out up in the air.
It had been a rough day for both of us, today was my shift and I had to take over someone else's round since they weren't around. Nishinoya had volleyball training that lasted until 7pm and he offered to pick me up from my job ever since that incident that happened a few days back.
"Yuu?" I asked.
"Hm?" he hummed a reply.
"...W-We need to talk," I stuttered and he looked at me dumbfounded.
"Don't tell me... are you breaking up with me?" his eyes were tearing up and I instantly panicked.
"N-No! It's a misunderstanding! It's about my father..." I added quickly and he wiped his eyes clean and he stood up straight again.
"I knew that!" he replied.
"You are too easy to read," I said flatly.
"So what about your father?"
I stayed quiet for a while, biting my lips together. "He is going back to Tokyo. But he wants my brother and me to go." I looked up at him, his expression was rather upset and troubled but nevertheless, he nodded his head. "But I denied."
"Uh?"
"We had a fight last night and I told him that I belong in Miyagi. He told me that he had paid his debt and that he was ready to head back home. But I still told him that I wanted to remain here," I explained. "After that, things at home had begun to grow awkward. So I was wondering... if I could stay with you for tonight." I clutched onto the hem of my skirt, nervous for his reply.
"Sure," he said simply.
"Uh? Really?"
"Yeah, after all, you are my girlfriend," he grinned, ruffling my hair. "Maybe I can introduce you to my mom if she is home." He had told me before about his family but I had never met her mother. His father left her after Yuu was born and never came back.
