A white flash blinds me, and I awake on an operating table, underneath a giant machine full of medical instruments. I couldn't move, nor could I speak. It felt like I wasn't conscious, no, like I was dreaming. Lucid dreaming. Which would explain a helluva lot. "Remain calm, call sign blackjack." My eyes widen with no ability to speak. "You have been volunteered for a special experiment. Your being is currently fusing with a Titan core." What the fuck? Is this even humanly possible? What does a Titan core look like? "The Titan core currently fusing with you is the Symmetrical Anti-Matter Engine, or S. A. M. E. The very same Titan core that was in your Titan, chassis number AD-21377. You will become more connected with your titan and future Titans even greater than before. You are an exceptional Pilot." The voice calls down in a soothing voice. This can't be happening. And before I could even think another thought, I feel a needle prick my neck, and I once again fall unconscious. This time when I awake however, I am resting in a hospital bed. "where the hell am I now? Oh, I see I can speak again." I say out loud to nobody. I look behind me to see light green curtains strung up in front of a window. I couldn't reach them to open them, but i could see a shrivel of light from where the pair of curtains connect. I see the beautiful sunlight lay upon the green fields and cherry blossom orchards of the planet Haven. "Haven? When did I get here?" I lightly whisper to myself. My gaze returns to the front of the bed to see various regulation things, a bathroom, a sink, a white board, and the front door, which proceeds to open with a woman in white hospital scrubs walking in. "Oh, I see someones awake." She says as she quietly shuts the door behind me, with the faint sound of the electronic lock activating. "Good to see someone I can actually talk too." I try to say with humor in my voice. "I'm just here to change your IV bag..." She says reaching up to the blood bag with a bag of clear liquid in her hand. "Whats in that bag?" I say suspiciously. "Oh nothing just electrolytes to help you recover." She says with a smile. "Recover from what?" I continue to question. At that moment the door flies off its hinges, and the nurse falls to the floor with blood pooling from a bullet hole in her head. I can hear gunfire ring out from down the hall, and watch as a pilot rushes into the room, his sidearm aimed at me. In reflex i throw up my hand and a blue vortex extends from my palm. "It is you. At ease Pilot." The man in front of me says. He was SRS, Special Rescue Squad, I could tell from the way his helmets visor made an X shape. He was a fellow pilot if not known by the fact of being SRS, then it was easy to tell from his jump kit on his back. "look alive, we don't have much time." I can barely hear him over the gunshots and explosions from the hall. "Dammit Pilot get up!" He yells pulling me out of the bed, all the IVs popping out of me and machines falling over. "Jesus! Careful! I'm pretty sure I just got out of surgery!" I yell trying to keep my balance. "Here! Take this!" He says pulling his pistol from his chest holster and handing it too me. I examine the weapon and confirm there is only one magazine. "There are enemy Pilots in the complex. Kill one and take his jump kit Pilot." He grabs my shoulders and tells me before running off down the hall. "Ok..." I say racking the slide of the pistol. "lets go hunting for a pilot."
