Emaneska and Lilly walked home. Emaneska was really worried about what her mom would say. She held her breath and knocked at the front door. Her mom opened it. "Wow, you girls are home earlier than usual. Normally you wouldn't be here until ten more minutes!" Mom said. She let Lilly and Emaneska inside.

Lilly ran to her room. Emaneska attempted to sneak into her room, but was stopped in her tracks by her mom. "Emaneska, wait." Mom said. "Yes?" Emaneska said. "About what you did this morning," "Ok ok mom I can explain everything it's not my fault, but the tree called me and I listened and went and it needs help and then I dashed to school I got there on time I really did please believe me and now I hafta go back into the woods an, an, an..." Emaneska was completely out of breath. Emaneska coughed a bit.

"Ok Emaneska, like I was trying to say, it's ok. I understand why you went. You're not in trouble." Mom calmly said. Emaneska's jaw dropped. "You... your not mad at me?" Emaneska asked. "Of course not, since you were safe and kept your promise. But, I wouldn't push your luck too far" Mom said. "Oh, and I hafta go back out to the forest because I need to help Willow!" Emaneska said. "Ok fine. But be safe and be home by 6:00." Mom said.

"Wow wow wow wait... You are actually letting me off the hook and into the forest for 2 and a half hours?! Who are you, and what have you done with my mother!?" Emaneska joked. "Now now, like I said before. Don't push your luck." Mom scolded. "Ok ok I won't. Bye!" Emaneska said. Emaneska took off through the yard and into the forest by the backyard.

Emaneska ran, jumped, ducked, and turned through the forest until she came to a stop. The wall of thorns was in front of her. Then suddenly, the thorns untangled and let Emaneska through. Emaneska was in a great mood. "Thank you, thorns!" She said. She skipped to the Willow tree.

"Um, Willow... I have a question..." Emaneska asked. "What's your question?" Asked Willow. "I was wondering if I could look for the spring of unity with my little sister, Lilly? And uh, can I show you to her?" Asked Emaneska."Sure . It's nice to meet new people, as long as their heart is pure and fresh as a healthy tulip garden in May." Replied Willow.
