The Willow In The Woods - Currently On Hold

Chapter Two

All day at school, Emaneska was distracted. She kept trying to answer her own questions. Why did the willow want here to come in her dream? And why was she dreaming about it? She thought a moment. Riiing! The 7th period bell rang. In 8th period, she remembered her mom was talking about a, "Willow in the woods." But her dream couldn't have been that same willow tree... right?

Riiing! The last bell of the day rung. Emaneska waited for Lilly. "Hey Lilly , do you know anything about the Willow in the woods story?" Emaneska asked. Lilly shook her head. "Sorry sis, I have no idea what the Willow in the woods is. We'll hafta ask mom when we get home." Lilly replied.

They started walking. The thought of the willow tree kept coming back to Emaneska. She had so many questions, but felt she should try to answer them herself. Emaneska jumped in fear. "Ah!" Emaneska yelled. "What? What?" Lilly said. "Oh, whew, it's only someone's garden hose." Emaneska said. "Ugh, why are you so afraid of snakes anyway?" Lilly Complained. "I... I don't know, I guess they just seem creepy!" Emaneska wined. "Oh whatever." Lilly said. All the rest of the way home, Emaneska zoned out, thinking about the willow in the woods.

"Mom, we're home!" Lilly yelled. "Oh, how was school today?" Mom asked. "Good." Emaneska replied. "There wasn't anything very exciting but it was good." Lilly said. "Mom, can you tell me about the willow in the woods like you said you would?" Emaneska asked. "Ok, I'll tell you right befor bed." Mom said.

Emaneska suddenly realized. If she did dream of the willow in woods, does that mean she, herself of all people this year... Was chosen to see the willow in the woods? Emaneska grew wide eyed. She thought more. "What are the chances of me getting chosen out of the billions of people on Earth to find the willow?" Emaneska accidentally asked out loud. "Not too likely." Lilly replied.
