Unfortunately, I'm closing up this story. BUT: that doesn't mean it's the end ;) I already have a sequel in the works. It's called "I've Already Told You Everything." I'm not going to give anything else away ;)

Mike sits at his dinning room table, telling the police for what seemed like the 100th time, about what happened that night. It's been 5 days and there's no trace of Eleven. They know who kidnapped her though: Corinne Dally. There's no trace of her anywhere. She completely packed up her house and fled. The case seems to be at a stand still; and, Eleven not being a registered citizen (technically) it makes things immensely difficult. Mike stares blankly out the window facing him. Tears are constantly flowing from his eyes, but he doesn't have the ability to cry or sob—just the constant flow of tears. He's resorts back to his catatonic state he once more, shutting everyone out. He dramatically stands from the table and makes his way to his room. He slams to door, making sure to express his feelings in the noise. Down stairs, Hopper squeezes the bridges of his nose, trying to come up with an answer. Karen wipes a single tear from her eye. Jonathan and Joyce have offered to help Hopper, but he deems it too dangerous.

It's been 2 weeks. The case is beginning to become insignificant to the Police Department, but the boys won't give up. Every day after school, they search the woods in hope for just a sign of her. Mike barley talks anymore, and when he does it's one word answers: yes, no, ok, sure. The boys visit him and try to talk to him, but it's no use. Eleven was his only happiness, and he had it violently ripped away from him from the second time. But this time, he shattered like glass, and some of the pieces are missing. Not easily, in fact, nearly impossible could he be put back together. He's starting to feel himself give up. Nancy invites herself into Mikes room and plants herself on his bed.
"Hey, Mike. Can you talk?" He didn't say a word.
"Well, me and Jonathan are going out to eat. I think you should come." He shook his head.
"Ok well, let me know if you change your mind." Nancy rises to leave Mike alone. Right as she's about to leave, she hears Mikes broken voice.
"I didn't keep our promise." His voice cracks and you could practically hear Nancys heart break.
"Mike, none of this was your fault. I hope you know that." It's silent for a while.
"I know." That was Nancy's cue to leave. She could tell he wanted to be alone. She rested her head on his closed door. She sincerely felt a deep sorrow for her brother. She's never seen him act like this. She missed him—she missed his happiness in its entirety.

Mikes POV
I'm not sad. I don't really want to be. I think long and hard for an explanation for what happened that night. I just feel...numb. It's normal for me to think about her every waking moment of my life. I wake up, eat, go to school, come home, sleep—repeat. She made my life exciting. I actually enjoyed keeping her safe and sticking up for her. I enjoyed her in general.I am sad. I take it back. I miss her and I'll say it proudly. It's been a while and always think of those big brown eyes shinning when I spoke to her. Sometimes I see them in my sleep. Her gentle pale skin is bright even in a dark room. I could never forget her. I don't want to forget her. I have hope that someday she will come back.
