Mikes POV

Both of my knees bob up and down in anticipation. My mother went with El so she wasn't alone. I wasn't allowed to go because I would "influence" her. Whatever that means. Jonathan folds his arms across his chest and leans his head on the wall next to him. Nancy sits next to me, bouncing her knees in the same manner as me.

"Can you just get Doctor Corinne on the phone, please?" I can hear my mom getting frustrated over the phone. Doctor Corinne has been my doctor for as long as I can remember. My mom asks for her because how are we supposed to explain to any old Doctor that oh, this girl has telekinetic powers. Does that change anything? Corinne and my mom have been friends since high school. This calms my nerves  a bit because I know she will take good care of El.

My mom signals me to follow her from the waiting room and I jump up instantly. My mom is calm and collected. After all, she did only pass out. Still scary, but nothing serious.

She sits up in her hospital bed playing with the tag on her wrist. The color in her face is starting to seep back into bed face. She smiles when she sees me.

"I'm ok now." She says quietly. All I can do is nod my head and hold her hand. Doctor Corinne talks with my mom outside the room. I'm wondering what is actually wrong with Eleven.

"Did they tell you anything? What happened?" She tucked hair behind her ear and shook her head.

"They said nothing was wrong, that I was healthy." That seems a bit strange to me. I know for a fact something is wrong, or at least a little abnormal.

Doctor Corinne has been running tests on Eleven for the past 3 hours. My mom explained everything to her, so she's being extra careful with her words. She calls me and my mother back into the room where Eleven sits up on the bed. Doctor Corinne immediately turns to me; she holds a clip board in front of her face.

"Has she been having mood swings? Changes in behavior?" I hesitate at first, but then I nod quickly and I could tell she has the answer.

"She's completely healthy, but her body is producing insane amounts of estrogen." I furrow my brows and look to my mom for answers.

"The girl puberty hormone, son." I mentally roll my eyes. She's just hormonal?!

"Her mind is different from ours. It grows and does things that we cannot. I guess there is a defect where it produces too much estrogen." I'm glad she isn't sick. Actually, I'm relieved she isn't sick. But having an overly hormonal girl in our house might be hard. I see from the corner of my eye that she is listening to our entire conversation.

"The only thing I have to warn you about is the mood swings, and her breasts are probably going to increase in size." We all look over to her. She looks down at her chest then back at us. I sigh and put a hand on my head.

"Oh El." I say under my breath.
