Bre POV:
I blinked my eyes a few times to adjust to the bright light. I hate the sun in the morning; it just irritates me. Not only the sun was annoying, but also I had a splitting headache. I groan. Where the hell was I anyway?
"Finally you're awake," I heard someone say.
I looked over and saw Chase sitting in a chair beside me with a huge grin on his face. If I didn't have this headache I would've smiled back, but my head was pound, so oh well. "Can you do me a favor," I said in a whisper.
                              Chase nodded his head.
"Can you close the blinds or something cause the sun is killing me?" I said as I cover my face with my hand. I realized I had a small tube going into my hand. I sighed. I know like hell that I'm not in a hospital.
Chase laughed a little before covering up the windows and sitting back down. We stared at each other for a minute.
I gave him a bored look. "I hate hospitals," I said before taking a deep breath.
He smiled and shook his head. "Well, you spent two weeks in here."
I frown. "Two weeks?" I asked trying to be sure that I heard him right.
                              He nodded.
"Why was I here for so long?" I asked.
He sighed. "When you got kidnapped, the men had put some different drugs in your system. The doctors had to wait for the drug to leave your system, and they had to take the bullet out of you."
I frowned again. What bullet?..... Oh yea. Star shot me. That's the only thing that I remember clearly happening; everything else was a blur to me.
"Ok," I said slowly. "All that can take about four days or less."
He tilted his head a little as though he was studying me. "You really don't remember," he said.
I gave him my what-do-you-think look the best I can since my head was hurting so bad.
He grabbed my hand and just held it. It was comforting for him doing that. He smiled a bit to himself. "Well, when they were about to take you to the hospital in the ambulance, you refused to ride in it because you said that people always died in it and that you wasn't gonna pay $5,000 for a five minute ride."
I nodded. That sounded right. I wasn't gonna waste any money for a little ride when I could drive myself.
"So Dee and I drove you to the hospital. You didn't want to get out, so I had to carry you out. You know, for a little girl with a bullet wound, you put up a good fight. When we made inside the building, you started singing and was about to fall asleep until the nurses came. You made a big fuss." He laughed to himself. "Long story short, it took us a while to get you to chill for the last few days."
I shook my head. "Oh well. It wasn't completely my fault. I was drugged," I said.
Chase chuckled some more. "Whatever they put in you, gave you some fucking man strength."
I laughed too, but stopped when my head started hurting a bit. I winced. Chase stopped and checked on me. I told him that I was fine. I'm never getting kidnapped again. I don't even remember how I got kidnapped. The last thing that I remember was receiving a text from Lassie talking about she need me.
"What happen to Lassie, Carter, and Jack?!" I said as quickly sat up which I regretted since my head started pounding.
"Take it easy," Chase said as he eased me back. He waited for a few minutes for me to listen. "Carter is fine. He actually been waiting for you to wake up." I nodded. "And Lassie... She's in a coma right now."
