       No one knows.

No one knows what I go through.

No one understands the pain that I have inside.

For me to be a 14 year old upcoming freshman, I've been through a lot. I still manage to put a smile on my face.

3 days until the first day of high school.

I have no friends.

No family, besides Granny.

She took me under her wing after my stepdad molested me and when I told my mom, she didn't believe me. No one did, only Granny. That's why she have full custody of me now.

That incident happened over 2 years ago, in reality, I'm over it. On the inside, it still hurts.

I still have a smile on my face.

"Cam Cam, the food is ready!" Granny yelled from downstairs.

"Coming!" I yelled back.

Only Granny calls me Cam Cam. My real name is Camryn, obviously.

As I make my way downstairs, I look at the photos on the wall of my mom. I miss her a lot. I'm suppose to see her only twice a month, but, she haven't came this month.

She is so beautiful. Granny always say I look like her. We don't look that much alike. Just our light brown eyes and curly black hair. But that's about it.

Soon as I made it downstairs to the kitchen, Granny was waiting for me. She didn't even touch her meat loaf or corn.

She was waiting for me.

"Are you ready for the first day?" She asked as I sat down.

"Um, sure.

"I think I'm more excited than you."

"Don't be." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Camryn, I talked to your dad earlier today."

"You did what!?"

"He wants to see you before school starts."

"Why?"

I haven't seen my dad in 4 years.

Maybe 5.

"You are turning into a young lady. He wants to see how big you've gotten." Granny said in a convincing voice.

Me and my "dad" never had a decent relationship.

NEVER.

After my dad left me and my mom for another woman, I haven't seen him in the same way. He moved somewhere far away with his new family.

Just left me and my mom in the wind. He's not worth two dead flies.

"I just don't understand why he's coming now. I totally forgot about him. HE'S DEAD TO ME!" I yelled.

"You need to at least talk to him. At the end of the day, he's still your dad."

She stared at me. Waiting for my response.

"At the end of the day, he's still the same guy from 5 years ago. The same guy who left me and my mom in the dust!"

I starred at her.

"At the end of the day, I don't want anything to do with him."

I ran upstairs as I started to tear up.

All the things I've been through and he wants to come now.
