Wow. Today is the day.

I don't want to get up. What is the purpose of school anyway? I miss being homeschooled. Maybe if I stay in my room, Granny will forget about me.

"Cam Cam! Get up! Get up NOW!"

Wishful thinking.

"Camryn Denise Willis!"

"I'm up! I'm up!" I yelled.

I knew she was angry because she used my full name.

I looked at the clock, it read 7:20.

I have about 35 minutes until the bus come.

******************

As I got out the shower, I thought about how my day would be.

"Camryn! Hurry up, you have 15 minutes to get to the bus stop. Come on, I see kids there already."

Wow. Kids already at the bus stop and it's 15 minutes until the bus come. Who is that thirsty for school?

I have no idea what to wear. What should my first impression be?

It's about 75 degrees outside.

I'm just going to wear this sun dress and put my hair in a bun.

Should I do that?

No, no I shouldn't.

Ugh! I'm in denial.

I have no idea what I want my first impression to be.

"Don't make me go up there Camryn." Granny said behind my door.

"I'm coming."

*******************

I'm so nervous. As I make my way to the bus stop, and see all of the other kids, I started to get shivers. Even though it was hot outside and I choose to wear a tank top and skinny jeans, I still got goose bumps.

Soon when I got to the bus stop, the bus pulled right up.

I was the last to get on the bus. Everyone was looking at me weird as I was looking for a seat.

"Who is she?" I heard some girl say in the front.

"She look like she's about 30." A boy said, almost everyone started laughing.

I knew I shouldn't have left my hair curly. I thought as I found a seat in the back. I already want to go home.

The bus driver slammed the breaks hard, and I fell face first on the ground. Everyone burst out laughing.

"Damn. The new girl already got a bad impression." The boy said. Yes, the same boy.

I just ran to the closest seat and dusted myself off. This is why I hate new things. In my old town, everybody knew everybody because it was so small. My school was fun and my friends were amazing. But all of that's gone because of the perv I once called my stepdad.

I already hate school. I just wish I can go back in time. Go back to Jerseyville, and not be here in Lakewood.

I hate Lakewood.
