You sigh and plop your body down on the brown leather of Mark's couch. Looking around the room slowly, you search your mind for things you want to do while Mark is working on his recording for the day. With a sigh, you decide it would be a good idea to text your mom. She had absolutely no idea that you had stayed over at Mark's house. You really hoped she wasn't worried about you, but since she hadn't texted you first, you figured she can't be that concerned about it. Even so, you pick up your phone from off the surface of the coffee table and open up the messenger.
"Hey mom, just wanted to let you know I stayed at Mark's place overnight." You send the text and are about to close your phone when an immediate reply from your mom comes.
"Whoa whoa whoa,What?! I need deets. Now :O :3" You roll your eyes. Your mom is such a dork.
"Hmm, im an adult. Im not entitled to say anything about it." You tease back. Another reply.
"Well then, I might just ask Mark. I think he wouldn't hesitate to give info to me. ;)))" You actually panic a little.
"Uh, please no. Im not comfortable with that." You say.
"OhhoHO so something DID happen?"
"Ugh, yeah. But not what you're probably thinking."
"What a shame :'3"
"I guess" After that, your mom stops her pestering and you finally close your phone. Well that was embarrassing, you say to yourself. Just then, you hear Mark's recording room door creak back open.
"Well that was fast." You comment as Mark walks out of the room, Chica following him.
"Haha, no way am I even CLOSE to done recording." Mark laughs sarcastically. "Im just taking Chica out to use the bathroom. Come on ChicaBica" Mark baby talks the golden retriever. Just as he's about to close the sliding door out to the yard behind him, you hopped up off the couch and out the door behing him.
"What, you wanna watch Chica use the bathroom that bad?" Mark teased.
"Of course not." You chuckle a little. "I was just lonely..." You look down, a little embarrassed.  Mark pulls you into a hug.
"Gah, you are too sweet for words." Mark laughs, then kisses your forehead. "I guess it wont hurt having you in the recording room with me." You look up, your eyes bright.
"Really?" You wouldn't have to worry about thinking of something to do if you get to watch Mark's job process. "I'd love to." You smile. Chica finishes doing her thing and you follow Mark back inside and to the room where he makes his youtube videos.
"I have a surprise for you too!" Mark opens the door. "Tah Dah!" He pulls up a chair that looks just like his, but a little smaller. "I got one for you. I uh... I figured you might be coming around here pretty often so I wanted to give you somewhere comfortable to sit while im recording." You cant help but laugh a little bit. "What? Whats so funny?" Mark cocks his head a little. You reach up to ruffle his cherry red locks of hair.
"Absolutely nothing. I was just thinking that that's incredibly sweet of you to do. Thank you Mark." You sit yourself down and sigh comfortably. Mark then sits in his own chair and rolls up closer to his desk.
"Alright, now I just gotta keep recording, you can stay in or out of camera shot, either way is fine with me." You decide to stay out of the way.
"Im fine with just watching." You twll him as he starts up the game he was playing again. It appeared to be a horror game, with robots? It was called 'Sister Location' which gave you no clue into the premise of the game.
"Get the light for me?" Mark asked, batting his eyes. You laughed.
"Sure." You click off the lights and reseat yourself then pull your legs up onto the chair with you. "This seems like it's going to be a bit scary..." you say. Mark smiles.
"You'll be fine. You have me to protect you."
