You close the bathroom door, and it shuts with a pleasant click. You sigh and lean on the sink, your eyes closed. "What an ordeal..." you say under your breath. Your shaking from nervousness. You shouldn't have stayed the night. You scold yourself silently. After a moment you reopen your eyes and look in the mirror. You nearly scare yourself to death. "Oww..." you rub your bottom and get up off the floor. Your face is a mess of mascara, smudges as far down as your cheekbones. You splash water on your face, and look for some rags to clean up with. You turn off the stream of water from the sink, and return to the living room. Matt, Ryan, and Mark are now eating Lucky Charms and sitting on the couch.
"Oh, hey (y/n)!" Ryan calls out to you. "Want some breakfast?" He asks. You stand there, awkwardly. You've been here all night, so what is there to lose? You shrug and sit on the open seat on the couch, which happens to be right next to Mark. You are uncomfortably aware of his closeness to you, but he stands up and goes to the kitchen. You sigh, but you are dissapointed in yourself for being so nervous. Everything just seemed to be a little strange.
"This doesn't happen normally does it?" Mark asks as he returns and hands you a bowl of cereal. You look up confused.
"What?" You question him.
"Staying the night in a strangers home and eating their food?" He replys seriously. You don't known what to think of this.
"Uhh.." you stutter. "I-um-no?" Mark laughs, the corners of his eyes scrunched joyfully.
"I'm only kidding" He sighs, a smile still lit in his deep brown eyes. You nod a little. Matt and Ryan are talking, then they get up and leave, meaning you are stuck in Mark's company. You finish your cereal in silence.
When you're finished, Mark offers to take your dish to the sink, and you let him.
"Thanks for cleaning." Mark tells you and hands you some money. You nod.
"Its my job." He takes you to the door, and you step out into the driveway. With a gasp, you run to where your beetle had been.
"Its gone! "You shout. "It was here and now it's gone! " You place your head in your hands. "I can't beleive my car got stolen..." You walk back up to the front door and knock. Marks answers.
"Back for more food?" He asks but you have no time for this.
"My freaking car got stolen!" You tell him. He looks outside, and raises his eyebrows in surprise.
"Wow." He shakes his head and grumbles, accentuating the deepness of his voice, which startles you. "Not again."
"This has happened before?" You ask, crossing your arms. Mark looks down at you, his eyebrows furrowed.
"We've had things stolen from us before." He sighs and looks you straight in the eye with a determined look. "Ill pay you back for this, I swear." He promises you, and you feel like you can trust him.
"Thats very kind of you, but"
"No, I'll pay you back." He insists."First I'm going to drive you home. It's the least I can do." You think for a moment.
"Alright, that's very sweet of you." You sigh and get your purse. "We should go now. " You and Mark step out the door, and to a black sedan type car. Its nice, but not flashy. It catches your eye.
"I like your car." You compliment Mark.
"It gets me where I need to be." He replies with a smile, then takes some glasses from out of a case in the inside of the car. He slips them onto his face, then opens your door for you.
"M'lady." He bows a little. You blush, and thank him as you climb into the vehicle. He steps around to the driver side and sits next to you.
"Alright, show me the way to your house." He says with a small smile. You smile back, and give him the directions. You lose your way a couple times, but eventually you find the right way. The black sedan pulls up to your house and you open your door.
"Wait, (y/n)!" Mark calls to you before you can leave. He hands you a piece of paper with a phone number on it. He folds it and places it in your hand, and covers it. He looks at you seriously. "Make sure to call me if you need anything. You look away shyly, but you nod. He smiles. "Bye bye!" He waves(a/n hehehehehe) and you close the car door and walk to the front door of your house. Before you go inside, you watch him drive away, but he sees you and waves with a smile. You blush and go inside, the paper clutched tight in your hand.
