Lady Kagome, The High Priestess

A New Thought

InuYasha climbs out of the small crater he had made in the ground after Kagome's sit command. How on earth did she know I was even coming? I bet it was that stupid demon that follows her around like a lost puppy now. I'll have to do something about him. Something solid comes down on his back, hard, making him fall back into his hole. 

     "What the-"

     "That was for ruining our time with Kagome. We haven't seen her in a year and now that we've had the chance, twice you've ruined it! What is wrong with you?" Sango yells, her hiraikotsu in her hand; if looks could kill, InuYasha is sure he would be incinerated by now. Rubbing his head, he makes a second attempt at climbing out of his hole. 

     "Did you ever think that maybe I wanted to see her too?" Sango rolls her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. 

     "What part of, she will die, do you not understand?" She yells at him. InuYasha winces at the word die. He understood it all too well but that didn't mean that it was easy being away from her. Miroku steps up, placing an arm around Sango's shoulders.

      "While I understand that some part of you missed her, InuYasha, she's never been your top priority; you've hurt her more than Naraku ever could I believe, and the fact that you couldn't even give 80 percent of your time or abilities to finding her doesn't help your case." InuYasha looks down guiltily. "If you wish to get close to her again, I suggest you focus on killing Naraku and severing whatever deal the two made while they were gone. Quit thinking about the jewel for a few days, Kagome is more than capable of handling that task on her own. If we get rid of Naraku, her contract with him will become null and void; thus allowing you to be near her once more." InuYasha nods, slowly, thinking over this new idea. It wasn't foolproof by any means, but it just might work. 

     "Okay. Let's do it." 

A/N: Hey guys! I am so sorry for the lack of an update, this story has given me mad amounts of writer's block, it's not a good excuse but it's honesty. I will be attempting to keep up with my stuff better from now on though, as I am taking a year off of schooling.
