(a week after Yuri left Konoha)
News travelled quickly of the slaughter of the Ookami clan and the village it resided in. Only the women and children had been spared, and they fled to Konoha. They told of a monstrous wolf, bigger than any creature they had ever seen, with eyes of fire and fur as red as blood. Minato sat nervously, trying to organize his ANBU to keep the rumors from spreading, and to also assure the villagers that they were perfectly safe. The gates were all closed, with close inspection of those coming and going. While he was begged by shinobi and villagers alike, Minato refused to send anyone out to hunt the creature down. No one but himself knew it was really Yuri, possessed by a demon or god, doing all this damage. It especially hurt him when Kakashi begged to go after it, but Minato forbade from leaving the village.

I panted as I stood just behind the tree line, studying then den where the majority of my clan lived. They had guards posted, from hearing of my work, but as soon as I set foot into the light, they fell to their knees begging for mercy.
"If it is mercy you desire, turn back to the ways of our goddess Ketsueki, who graced us with the gifts of the wolf." They looked at me in fear, nodding. "Then change, and embrace your wolf that our family has shunned for generations." Then they were. A brown wolf and a gray wolf, both cowering below me. "Come, we will remake our clan in the light of our goddess." We walked into the den, and I repeated the same lines to everyone we met. Soon, we got the the Ketsueki-ko, who seemed delighted to see me. These ones had been set aside in cages, ever since my talents had been discovered. They praised and worshiped me on sight, and I finally had hope. They would be my pack that would travel with me and wreak chaos across the world.
