"Mum, I want to go home" I whined as I placed my hand in my mother's shoulder.
My mother had decided about three months ago that it would be best to move to Seoul so that she could take up a new and better paying job than back home.
We had moved into a nice looking house with lovely neighbours but there was one thing that had my stomach twisting and turning.
My new bedroom. The air was freezing even while the heater was blaring. I felt like eyes were plastered onto me at all times.
It is so uncomfortable going to the toilet while you feel like someone is watching you.
My belongings move around the room like no tomorrow. My clothes go from the floor to the wardrobe and my mother knows that something could've possibly died in my 'floorobe'so she doesn't dare to touch it.
During the last week I've heard small laughs during the times I've tripped over the air, clothing or I've fallen off my desk chair.
My large wardrobe mirror went from being very well cleaned and polished to being covered in a red liquid with the words 'Death shall not do us part'.
"Babe, we moved in a week ago, maybe your heater is accidentally connected to the air conditioner, I don't know, but please give this place a chance" she begged and I let out a deep sigh at the sight of her large frown and desperate eyes.
"Okay" I gave in before taking my hands off her shoulders and letting her return to her new book as I padded up the stairs towards my bedroom.
I entered with a cautious attitude, eyes peering at every inch of my bedroom in search of a threat.
A small and quiet tip toe ended up with a short adrenaline forced run, sending me jumping onto my bed; scared of anything that could possibly pull at me from under the mattress and bed frame.
The wardrobe mirror was all I saw as I looked up as t sat opposite the bed.
In the dark reflection stood a figure. I couldn't tell what gender the figure was but it took a rhythmic walk towards the mirror with a small object in the small hands.
The moonlight shone through my thin blinds and onto the ghostly figure that stood and watched me intently.
It stood right in front of the mirror. It's face unrecognisable as it was covered in a veil of darkness.
I could feel myself involuntarily whimpering at the thought of death meeting me tonight.
The serious figure stood tall one moment and in the next completely let itself go.
It's laughter burst through the room like that of a child's. The laugh sounded innocent as the figure turned a little so I could catch a glimpse of the face.
A boy; a truly handsome boy stood in the moonlight of my bedroom with a large happy grin and his eyes crinkled into small slits as his innocent laughter echoed. He wore a long sleeved striped shirt with black jeans; a look of purity.
"Wahhhh! You're so cute!" He spoke with a light voice as he dropped whatever he had seemed to be holding before pouncing from the carpet onto my mattress.
The mattress bounced on the bed frame with a large 'Klank' and I felt myself pull the blankets upwards to cover my face from the male.
"Oh no no no" the male spoke disappointed. A tug came from the tip of the blankets and I let them fall from my grip to see the face of the boy right next to me.
"W-who are you?" My voice was cracking and stuttering due to the unnoticeable tears that began to stream down my cheeks.
"I'm Byun Baekhyun, and your Y/N"
He spoke a he laid down on his stomach and placed his chin on the palm of his hand. I looked down at the smiling boy and all I saw was innocence.
"Why are you here? H-how do you know me?" I asked as more questions came to my mind.
The boy took a large gulp of air; his toothy grin gone for a moment before a small no-teeth smile appeared.
"My parents bought this house three years ago, we lived here for about four months before there was a home invasion. I was awake when the invasion happened but my parents were not. I had heard the glass door being smashed and I had rushed to alert my parents of the break-in. I found them shot. The invader stood in my parents bedroom and shot me then too after I had begged for my life. I know you because this was my bedroom-"
The male rolled into his side a little to glance at the transformation of what was once his bedroom that had now become mine.
"-this is my favourite room in the house and because I died a death with injustice I was rejected from entering heaven and am here until I find peace. As a guest in this house I suggest you stay in the guest room, what would your mother say if she found out you were sleeping the same room as a boy hmm? It's okay, I don't mind" Baekhyun smiled cheekily at me before a small giggle escaped my lips.
"I like it when you laugh" he spoke with another large smile that somehow drew me in.
"Baekhyun?? You wouldn't happen to be here all day are you? Because I-"
"-Fell off the bed trying to put your jeans on? Yeah I saw that. Fell off your desk chair after swinging on it? Ooooooh saw that one too, that bruise was nasty-"
"Okay, I get it, you've watched me fail more than one person should in a week" I interrupted him as he did interrupt me.
He smiled once again before running a small hand through his bleach blonde hair making it look attractively messy.
"How old are you?" I asked out of curiosity, I didn't intend to ask so bluntly, I intended to smooth talk him a little bit form the amount of accidents I have, it goes to show that I'm not smooth with anything.
"17, why? You wanna go out?" His own blunt question sent me into a small state of shock as my eyes widened. This sent him laughing again as he clutched his stomach into a contagious fit.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Well....yeah, I can leave the house but I usually prefer not to do it alone, but you're here now" he spoke as he pushed me to one of my bed a little.
"Scooch" he spoke as he nudged me lightly so he could fit in the opposite side of the bed.
"Baekhyun you can't sleep here" I spoke with a determined by guilty voice, he's too cute to throw out.
"I'm tired and plus I wasn't planning on doing anything, don't worry, I'll wait until you're ready"
