Sinner : Story Of A Curse.

Part 2

It was a bright sunny afternoon of march. The temperature of Pune city was on it's peak today. 17 years old Vedanti & Sumedh were seating under shade of a big tree. They both were best friends since they were born. Their houses were parallel to each other.  They attended Same school & now they were attending same clg.

"Vedanti.. Main sach keh raha hoon.. I am serious.. " Sumedh said in eager tone.

Vedanti was continuously laughing.

"Haso mat yr.. Kitni nalayak ho tum." Sumedh became angry.

Vedanti controlled her laughter.

"I am sry.. I am really sry.. I shuldnt laugh. " Vedanti controlled her.

She took a deep breath.

"Hmm.. So u r saying that u hv a crush on Nivi..?? " Vedanti asked.

"Haan.. I hv a crush on her. Should I try..?? " Sumedh asked.

Vedanti again started laughing.

"Sumya.. Ved laglay tula.. (Sumedh. U hv gone mad) " Vedanti giggled.

"Vedanti.. I won't talk to u.. " Sumedh angrily said & stood up to leave.

"Are.. Sry sry.. Baitho.. Main samjhti hoon.. I will help u.. " Vedanti made him seat again.

"Kya kehti ho..?? " Sumedh asked.

"Tumhe thodi der wait karna chahiye.. Abhi crush hai.. Thodi dino baad pyaar ho jayega.. Tab aagey badhna.. " Vedanti advised.

"Sach me..?? Aisa kehti ho to thik hai.. " Sumedh agreed.

Mugdha came there.

"Hi Mugdha.. " Vedanti said.

"Hi Vedanti.. Hi Sumedh.." Mugdha said.

"Hi Mugdha" Sumedh said.

"Vedanti.. Chalo na mere sath mujhe kuch baat karni hai.. " Mugdha said.

"To yahi karo na.. " Vedanti said.

"Nai.. Wo.. " She awkwardly looked towards Sumedh.

Sumedh understood that.

"Thik hai.. Tum dono baitho.. Main hi jata hoon.. " Sumedh stood up & left.

Mugdha seated on ground.

"Kya yr tum dono.. Tum kuch chupa nai rahi ho na..? " Mugdha asked.

"Nai to.. " Vedanti answered easily.

"Nai.. Mujhe laga tum dono ki taraf dekh ke.. " Mugdha teased her.

Vedanti looked towards her & started laughing.

"Yr sab ko aisa kyu lagta hai..? We are best friends.. Aisa kuch bhi nai hai.. We don't hv 'that' feelings for each other. Hum aise hi acche hai.. " Vedanti explained.

"Nai.. Par tum dono hamesha sath hote ho.. Isiliye aisa lagta hai.. " Mugdha said.

"Na re.. Pata hai bachpan me mujhe lagta tha ki Sumedh ko rakhi bandh doon.. Abhi bhi lagta hai kabhi kabhi.. " Vedanti chuckled.

"But I don't knw why.. I always think u guys will end up together.. " Mugdha said.

"Phir to meri aur Sumedh ki life mujhse imagine hi nai ho rahi. " Vedanti started thinking.

Mugdha chuckled on her cute antics.

"Tum pagal ho.. Jisse bhi shadi karogi use bhi pagal kar dogi.. " Mugdha said.

"Aur main kabhi bhi Sumedh se shaadi nai karungi . " She said.

Both started laughing.

Suddenly....

The sound of giggling started echoing in her ears. Everything started becoming faded. Vedanti tried to hold Mugdha but she couldn't.

Vedanti opened her eyes & came in reality. She took a deep breath & held her hairs. It was a dream.

She looked towards her bare body clad in a blanket. Then She looked towards her right & took a sigh.  Sumedh was soundly sleeping. He was shirtless. A little smile came on her face. She thought about the dream & what she said in dream. She wanted to laugh but couldn't as Sumedh was sleeping. Clock showed the time of  7AM.

It was a real scene happened in her life some years ago which she saw in dream. Well.. This was the situation some years ago.. And now this.. Life can take any turn & can show u anything..

There was a time when Sumedh was her best friend. He was a carefree,  flirt & joyful person. And now he was her husband. The most serious , uninterested & focused person.

She decided to get freshen up. But her phone buzzed.

She looked towards the name & smiled.

"Kya madam..? Aaj kal nind nai ati kya apko..? Itni subah subah.? " Vedanti asked. 

"Kya karu..?? Tumhari yaad sata rahi thi.. " Girl on phone replied.

"Are baap re.. Madam Aarushi.. Ab aapki shadi hone wali hai... Tumhe to sid ko miss karna chahiye. " Vedanti teased.

"Haan na.. Par wo to main karti hi hoon.. Wo mujhse milta bhi hai.. Tum nai milti.. " Aarushi said.

"I am really sry.. Waqt nai mila mujhe.. Sumedh Nashik toor pe tha na.. Jate waqt bolke gya tha ghar ko jyada der tak 'akela' mat chhodo. " Vedanti smiled.

"Kya ho gya..? Tum itna dhire kyu bol rahi ho..? " Aarushi asked.

"Sumedh so raha hai na.. Isiliye.. " Vedanti answered.

"Accha.. Koi baat nai.. Aaj milne aa rahi hoon.. Ghar pe hi rehna.. " Aarushi said.

"Ok.. Bye.. " Vedanti said.

"Bye. " Aarushi said.

Sumedh opened his eyes just to find his beautiful wife seating near him.
His eyes were still closing. He placed his head on her lap. She smiled.

"Nind poori nai hui tumhari..? " Vedanti asked.

"Umm.. Nai.. " Sumedh replied in sleepy tone.

She was caressing his hairs.

"To uthna nai hai..? " She placed her chin on his forehead.

He hummed in sleep.

"Pata hai mujhe kiska phone aya tha abhi..? " Vedanti asked.

"Kiska..? " Sumedh asked.

"Nivi ka.. " Vedanti said.

Sumedh opened his eyes fully.

"Kuch bhi.. " He said.

"Sach me.. " She said.

"Mujhe uss din Nivi ke bareme nai bolna chahiye tha tumhe.. " He again closed his eyes.

"Are ab so mat.. Utho.. Aarushi aa rahi hai.. Apni shadi ka invitation dene.. " She said.

He stood up.

"What made her think to give us invitation..?? I mean.. Hum to aise hi chale jate agar wo nai bulati to bhi.. " Sumedh said.

"Oh mr Politician.. Apko apni dates available karni padengi na shadi ke liye.. Mere liye to waqt hota hai nai tumhare pas.. Aur chale shadi pe.. " Vedanti said angrily.

"Mau.. U knw na.. Works come first for me.. And I knw u understand. " He said.

Vedanti frowned.
