One day, Coral and Affiria were enjoying their spare time, when Rivaden asked Affiria to sword practice with him. So, they both left to go to the arena.
Coral decided to go find her new friend Micah. After she found Micah, they went to the training arena to watch Rivaden and Affiria practice.
However, when they got there, things were not going well. Rivaden got injured and Affiria was determined to beat him. Chiron told her to stop and Coral rushed over to her brother.
When Coral saw her brother's injuries, she got really mad and started yelling at Affiria and Affiria yelled back.
Coral made a typhoon that surrounded her, and the angrier she got, the bigger the typhoon grew. Affiria made a fire dragon, but it wasn't strong enough to compete with the typhoon. Affiria walked away from Coral, but the typhoon followed her all over camp, until she reached her cabin.
After Coral calmed down, she was called to Chiron's office. Chiron told her that she was to go on a quest to save some other kids who were kidnapped.
The first place they were to go was Camp Jupiter to pick up two demigods who are going to help on this quest. Affiria was also going with Coral and so was Opal. Coral could pick one other person for the quest.
Chiron warned Coral to be very careful, because she may come upon the giant who turned her into a sea serpent.
When Coral was done talking to Chiron, she went to talk to Affiria and found that Affiria was still upset. Affiria's mood changed when Coral told her about this quest.
Affiria knew about Coral's fear and said; " Are you sure you want to lead this quest? If anything happens, I will take your place as leader, okay? "
Coral agreed and they both separated to pack, both girls in good moods.
The next day, they left to go to Camp Jupiter to pick up the others. On the way there, Coral had a nightmare and turned in to the serpent in her sleep. Affiria woke Coral up to find Coral surrounded by a puddle of water that had turned red as blood.
When they reached Camp Jupiter, they picked up Opal, Piper and Leo. They took Leo's ship, the Argo 2 . Coral told the others about the quest and where they had to go.
When Coral went to her room on the ship, she sent an iris message to Chiron letting him know that everyone was there and that they were on their way to their next stop.
