There are times when a change of plans is necessary. A family member has an emergency, school is cancelled, or maybe an unexpected trip to the hospital is needed. In those circumstances, it is not unusual for someone's day to change entirely because of one event.
Terra definitely does not expect her whole life to change entirely because of a random stranger bumping into her on her way home. But change it does.
Apologies are exchanged, as are introductions. Terra is not sure why she feels such a connection to Polaris, but she does, and she does not want to leave, though she knows she has to.
Before a goodbye leaves her mouth, though, Polaris holds up a finger and turns around. He walks away, and returns a moment later with a soft pink flower. Polaris hands Terra the flower, and compliments her on her beauty.
Polaris helps Terra tuck the flower behind her ear, and with a soft kiss to Polaris' cheek, Terra is gone, as swift as the wind that brushes the sunflower fields Terra passes on her journey home.
