There is something beautiful about the beginning of a relationship. Neither one knows where the relationship is going to go, but they still take the chance. It is such an interesting intertwining of personality, and it is almost too amazing to watch. The anticipation beforehand is usually the best part. Each person thinks they know what is going to happen, and it is the last breath before it happens that always keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Polaris is in that stage before a relationship, although he doesn't know that he is, and the constellations spinning inside of him are only one indication. He cannot help the whoosh of air that leaves his lungs at the sight of Terra, who has torrents of wind running through her.
He reaches her and they exchange gifts, Polaris unwrapping what Terra considers to be her perfect picture, a photo of Polaris, and Terra unwrapping what Polaris considers to be his greatest work, a hand-drawn portrait of Terra.
They embrace, and nothing in the world could be as magnificent as the moment when Polaris decides to kiss Terra. So begins the greatest experience of their lives.
They share their first "I love you's", and in that moment, the two of them realize: she is his star, and he is her whole world.
