I sat crossed legged on my bed, tapping my pencil on the book.
I sighed in defeat and shut my history book. My shift started at four, which was an hour away.
I groaned and decided to get a change of clothes. I got up and walked towards my closet. Picking out my black polo shirt and a pair of skinney jeans, i stripped out of my clothes.
After i was done, i fixed my eyeliner and grabbed my phone.
"Mom! I need the car for w-" I stopped once i realized that she wasn't home. "Shit." I cursed loudly.
Maybe Shane could give me a lift? .. no, he was definetely not going to agree. Maybe it's worth a shot?
I talked myself into walking over to Shane's house and knocked on the door.
A blonde woman opened the door. Lissa.
"Oh Keira!" She said happily. "It's great to finally put a face to the name!" She pulled me into a light hug and i let out a laugh.
"Mee too miss Evans." I said, with a smile of my own.
"Call me Lissa." She grinned and opened the door wider. "Come in, you here for Shane?"
"Thank you," I said, stepping into the house. "Yes actually.. i kind of need a favor."
"I'll call him for you dear, have a seat anywhere." I nodded, thankful she had not asked me to go upstairs myself.
I took a seat on the brown couch that sat in the living room. Their house was lovely. It was fulled with antiques and pictures decorated the walls.
I continued to admire the decoration until i heard someone stomping down the strais; Shane.
He stood in front of me, wearing his traditional scowl.
"Hi." I said quietly.
"What do you want?" He asked in his usual rude tone.
"Well i was kinda wondering if you could drop m-"
"No."
"But i-"
"No." He repeated. I huffed out in frustration, jumping off the couch.
"Why not?" I demanded.
"Because i am not you're personal driver, Keira. Now leave." He was actually kicking me out.
"I was just asking for a small favor, gosh you're such a," I paused, not knowing what to call him, "a mosquito." I said, shoving past him and rushing out of the door.
I heard the door shut behind me as i slowed down and frowned. How on earth was i supposed to get to work? I was so not walking.
I sat on the stairs of my front porch with my head in my hands. My head popped up as the sound of keys was heard.
Shane stood in front of me, wearing a bored expression.
"What do you want?" I said, mimicking him.
He just jiggled the keys and motioned to the car.
A grin formed on my face and i jumped up.
"Good boy." I said, ruffling his hair as i passed him. I heard him grunt as he followed me into his car.
I sat, grinning, in the passenger seat as Shane turned on the ignition.
"Oh don't look so pleased." He said, glancing at me before backing up the car out of the dive way. "i'm not doing this for you." His words stung but i shook off the feeling.
