Chapter 3
School went by fast and the only thing I was looking forward to was spending the rest of the day with Ethan.
I waited out in front of the school for Ethan and when he finally came out I felt better already.
I walked over to him and smiled at him while I said "Hey you ready to go?"
He looked at me for a moment and said "About that, I have stuff to do so you can't come over tonight. But tomorrow you should ok?"
I felt hurt and crushed that he lied to me so without showing my sadness I simply smiled at him and said "Oh that's to bad well yea tomorrow will work. I'll see you later."
He nodded and walked away, leaving me to watch him go.
I thought I saw another figure in his car as he drove off but decided to ignore it because I knew that he cared about me.
Sighing I walked home only to find my brother was already there with some of his friends.
Rolling my eyes I went into the kitchen and out the back door to find Teragon and Sadie laying under our big oak tree.
I walked over to the tree and sat in between my two dogs and said "Hey girls hows it going"
They both wagged their tails but stayed with me under the tree. I sat there for no more than five minutes when all of a sudden my brother came tearing out the back door towards me.
"What the hell are you doing freak? You've got chores to do and mom wants them done before she gets back."
Sighing I got up and went inside to start my chores while my brother got to hang out with his friends.

Once I finished my chores, I went upstairs to start my homework. I walked into my room and chucked my stuff on my bed before walking over to my window and opening it.
I stepped out onto my balcony and looked at the view before me.
Not a second later I heard something behind me and when I turned around, the shadow was right in front of me.
I froze with shock and before I knew it, a girl about my age stood in front of me. She smiled and before I knew it I wasn't on my balcony anymore.
I felt like I was gonna pass out but as I watched the girl she was looking at me as if she was telling me that she was sorry.
She shocked me even more when she began talking.
"I'm so sorry about this but I really, really need your help Jessie."
I looked at her with confusion running through my body as I asked "How do you know my name?"
She chuckled and said "All the spirits know who you are because we've been watching over you since you were born."
I was shocked and breathless because I didn't know what to think so I simply asked "What do you need me to help you with?"
I saw pain shoot across her face as she said "I was 17 years old when I was murdered. Not only that but before my killer murdered me, he raped me along with three of his other friends. My parents wouldn't do anything to my killer so I haven't been able to move on because of that."
I felt bad for her because she died at a young age. So because I didn't think first I said to her "Ok, I'll help you out. What do I have to do?"
She smiled and said "You need to find the men that raped and killed me. Once you do that, then make them suffer like they did with me."
I looked at her weirdly and said "Why don't I tell the cops that these guys raped and killed you?"
She sighed and rolled her eyes before saying "Ok fine. But I like my idea better."
I rolled my eyes and said "Ok well can I get back to my house now please?"
She nodded and before I knew it, I was back on my balcony. I felt relief wash over me as I walked back into my room only to come face to face with...

I gave him a confused looked and asked "Uh Brad what are you doing in my room?"
He sighed and said "I wanted to come to you and thank you for checking up on me and I'm sorry that you've been treated bad. It's not right and you're a pretty brave girl because you don't seamed bothered to be able to communicate with spirits."
I smiled and said "I'm use to them so it doesn't bother me anymore. Uh... How are you doing?"
He chuckled and said "I'm doing ok. I'm still upset that Amy used me but I'm glad that I'm not dating her slutty ass anymore."
I laughed and said "Yea she is pretty much a slut if you think about it."
He smiled and said "Well I was wondering if you didn't mind if I took you out to dinner tonight?"
I was shocked as I heard those words leave his mouth but decided to answer quickly so I didn't keep him waiting.
"Oh... Uh.. sure that sounds fun. Would you like to pick me up at 7:00?"
A huge grin spread across his face as he said "Sure I'll pick you up then. See ya later Jessie."
With that he walked out my door leaving me starring at him with a confused look on my face.
