This was when the three:Hide,Kaneki and (NAME) began to split apart.Eventually the trio stopped speaking to each other at all,whether it was face to face or even through their mobile devices.They all shut themselves away from each other,refusing to speak to one another.Neither one of them knew this would happen,they all just drifted apart and never spoke again.
They became isolated.
Especially Kaneki,he barely even came out his own house ever since he was discharged out of hospital.He told neither Hide or (NAME),he kept quiet about it and chose to refuse to speak to the both of them and didn't even bother to explain what had happened because there was one thing he couldn't tell them at all costs.It was one piece of information that would be the end of him if either one of them had found out.How could one even explain his situation at this point?It was all too complicated and it all happened so quickly.Too quickly.Kaneki had kept telling himself it was all such a terrifying nightmare and it would all just disappear soon.Soon,after countless times of saying that over to himself he couldn't even distract himself from the harsh reality telling him that it was,in fact,not a dream.
There would be nothing Kaneki could do.He would have to live on knowing that-No,Kaneki didn't want to give in.So,instead,he decided that the best thing to do to keep his sanity in order was to live on as normal.It was easier said than done.Everything started to get to his mind.Harsh reality drilling into his head as he went out with his daily life but,everything would be different now.No matter how hard he tried his mistake would always haunt him.
Why would anyone blame him though?
It seemed completely ordinary.His life was normal up until this point of his life where everything had changed for the worse.His whole world was crumbled,his sanity slowly disappearing,his happiness shrinking down by the minute and conscience slowly and painfully tearing him apart from the inside which would cause him nothing but suffering.
All he could do for the time being was to sit his room alone quietly with dead eyes looking down at the floor.He sat at the edge of his bed thinking back through a cycle of the various experiences he had been through leading to his current situation.
An image flashed in is mind so rapidly he could barely recognise it.A sad smile made its way onto his cold thin lips,
"Mother....,"
He held back tears as his mind cycled back through his memories of the past.
(NAME) had woken up from a deep slumber.It appeared that they had caught a cold from some unknown person they had passed by in the streets.Although,they didn't feel so well they decided to cover up and head outside for a nice warm cup of coffee which had always brought a smile to their face.They had also resulted in bringing a novel so that they could read it while drinking their coffee.Before leaving,they put on a medical mask to prevent anyone else getting their cold and also made the bottom half of their face a little warmer too.
Blocking out the coldness as best as they could they arrived inside the warm and welcoming cafe.A thought came into their mind as they sat down waiting for their order to arrive at the table which was where Hide and Kaneki had gone for these past few weeks.It saddened them to even think of it for a slight moment.
A waitress from the cafe came over with the cup of coffee and they had smiled at her.Her cheeks were dusted with a light red colour as she made her way back behind the counter.After a while,(NAME) had finished their cup of coffee and sighed with content,they had even managed to finish reading their novel during the time they had at the cafe,slowly getting up they paid for the coffee and left the small shop as the young girl watched their every move also sighing quietly to herself with a frown,
"Not today either huh?...,"She muttered before returning to her duties.
(NAME) looked up at the vast night sky imagining what their two friends of two years were doing at that moment.Looking back in front of them they disappeared into the depths of the night-time.They took light steps towards their apartment feeling drowsy and toppled into their bed with closed eyes.An unknown figure lurked in front of the view they had behind the large rectangular panes of glass.The dark figure disappeared within a few moments as (NAME) looked directly outside before drifting off into dreamland.
The next morning,(NAME) had woken up to horrifying news.An attack had happened near their area the night before this morning and there were many brutal murders.(NAME),instead of being scared out of their mind,frowned deeply.The exaggerated words coming from the reporters annoyed them to no end.The had become defensive for ghouls for many years now.(NAME) had shut off the television in frustration.They looked up towards the ceiling of the room and shifted their eyes towards the view from up in the 28 floored penthouse.They closed their eyes slowly and let out and elongated sigh.
