Barry had the book of all the polaroid pictures you took in his hands. He looked through all of them. He admired your passion for photography. He flicked through the book but stopped once his eyes landed on a photo of you. You had just finished your training at the army and were allowed to come home for two weeks before you were sent off to war. You were smiling in the photo. God did he love that smile.
Barry flicked through a bit more until the pages were blank. He slammed the book shut before getting up to make himself a cup of coffee.
Barry raced over to work. He knew he was going to be late. Like usual. As soon as Barry opened the door he was greeted by an upset looking Joe. "Hey Joe. What's up?" Barry asked worriedly. "It's Y/N." Barry's face fell. "She's coming home" As soon as Joe said those words Barry's whole face lit up. He smiled so big it was almost touching his ears. "Well that's great news. Do you know when she is coming back?" Barry asked a little more calmly then he would've if he asked a moment ago. "October 23rd" Joe said with a smile on his face. "Man have I been waiting for this day." Barry muttered. "Haven't we all?" Joe said as he walked off.
Part two coming soon.
