Chapter 6: Nero Arrives in the Gates of Hell

     At Dante's shop, Dante woke up from his slumber and looks around the room. He didn't see Nero. "Nero?" He kicked Trish in the head and she woke up. "Ow! Dante, what the hell!" Dante saw her and says "Sorry. Nero has disappeared." Trish sat up and says "Disappeared? What? How?" Dante looked at her and fixed his hair. "You're asking me? Really?" Trish says "Well, I assumed that you had the answer to that question." Dante says "Gee, guess what, sister? I don't. We have to look for him." Trish says "Sure. Knock yourself out." She puts her feet up on the coffee table. Dante says "You're coming too." Trish says "Oh, joy." Dante says "Come on, let's go look for him."

    They both got up and went out of the shop. Nero sees an abandoned building in front of him.
"Well, here it is. I guess I just go in. I mean it is abandoned." Nero walked in and nothing was in there. "Are you serious? There's nothing in here." Suddenly, a portal appeared in front of him. "Well, this is irritating. Looks like I don't have a choice." He ran through it and he heard jazz music. "Jazz? Where's that coming from?" He kept walking towards the music.

      Enzo was talking to Rodin in the bar. "So, my kids Ed and Edna started messing up my TV because they were playing paintball in the house and I told them not to mess it up, but they never listen, you know." Rodin was cleaning glasses with a cloth. "I feel you, man. There's always..." There was a portal that appeared in the Gates of Hell. Rodin says "What the hell? I've never seen a portal like this before. They're usually red." Enzo says "It's probably Bayonetta using a different portal. Nothin to worry about, Rodin." Rodin says "Gee, I hope you're right, little man."

     Nero ran through the portal and saw Rodin and Enzo. "Whoa, what the?" Enzo panicked. "Ahhh! Jesus, you're not Bayonetta!" Nero was confused. "Uh, I think you lost me." Rodin says "It's an intruder!" He grabs a gun and aimed it at his head. Nero puts his hands up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy there, man. I'm just looking for a way back home." Enzo hid behind a chair. "Oh yeah, kid? Well, your home was that portal just a second ago." Nero says "Actually, no. It lead me here to your world. Where am I anyway?" Rodin says "Well, you're in the Gates of Hell. And if you think you're getting a drink, you're not getting a single damn drop." Nero says "Look, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to have some answers and I'm gone. I promise and plus if I was going to hurt you, I would've been done it by now, but I'm not."

    Rodin slowly lowered his pistol. Rodin chuckled. "Kid, you have nerves of steel for coming here. I never seen people like you before." Nero says "Same here. Who are you?" Rodin says "My name is Rodin and that's Enzo over there." Enzo waved. "Hey there." Nero says "Nice, my name is Nero." Enzo says "That's a pretty cool name, kid. So, what happened to your arm?" Nero looked at his arm. "I really don't want to talk about that. I'll just say it just happened to be there." Enzo says "Okay, then. Completely understand, Nero."

      Rodin sets the drinking glasses behind him. "I just need to wait until Bayonetta arrives here." Nero says "Bayonetta? Who's Bayonetta?" He sits down in a chair. Rodin says "I'm her assistant by making weapons for her when she needs to fight." Nero nodded and says "Cool." Enzo pointed to himself. "And I'm like her chauffeur carrying her stuff around and being pushed around."

     Nero was intrigued and said "What is she like?" Enzo says "She's drop dead gorgeous and fights like a pro." Rodin says "Also she fights angels." Nero says "Angels? I thought angels were good." Rodin shook his head. "Not in this world, man. Here, they're vicious creatures. You'll see when you encounter one." Nero was even more curious about Bayonetta. "So, what is Bayonetta's story?" Enzo says "You really want to know?" Nero says "I want to find out." Rodin says  "Very well. 500 years ago, Bayonetta was in a casket at the bottom of a lake and all she remembers is that she's a witch and she has no other memories of her past life." Enzo says "And did you know her own hair is actually her clothing? Crazy, right?" Nero was shocked and agreed. "Yeah, that is crazy." Rodin says "Also her hair can turn into infernal demons and take out her foes."

     Nero was stunned as he heard her backstory and says "Wow, I hope I get to see her one day." Rodin nodded his head, knowing that he would see her. "I'm sure you will, kid." Enzo leaned in his chair backwards. "So, kid. How did you end up here?" Nero says "I just followed a portal and it led me here. I was hoping it would take me home, but I guess not." Rodin says
"Hmmm...where are you from?" Nero says "I'm from Limbo, but from a different dimension, though." Rodin says "Like hell?" Nero nodded in confidence. "Pretty much." Rodin says
"Alright, I'll make a portal that might send you home."

    Nero got up and says
"Good. Well, it's been nice knowing you." Rodin says "Yep." Enzo says "Please don't return." Nero says "Okay, I won't." Rodin's bloody red portal opened and Nero walked through. The portal closed behind him and Enzo looked at Rodin. "Man, that kid was weird looking." Rodin agreed.
"You're telling me, little man."
