Like The Rain

Black stormy clouds swirled above, the raindrops pelting onto Koru's black parka. They slid down the smooth material, making puddles that fell into the drains below. He sat down on the concrete pavement in the pouring rain, his head drooped slightly, staring at the asphalt road, contemplating with his arms crossed. Koru was silent - only the noise of continuous rain plagued his ears. But for some reason, he liked it. It comforted him in a roundabout kind of way; it comforted him from the troubles of envy, anger, stress, if there was anything wrong, the rain was there to shelter him from his inner storm.
And yet it seemed as if...as if sitting in a cloud's waterfall would never solve what fell apart in his mind. Because he knew - deep inside he knew - that inaction could never resolve anything.
"Aiko..." Koru murmured, still staring out into the rainfall. It was then that he let his head droop further into his arms, and he let the tears fall just like the rain. Just like his heart fell apart.

He missed her.

He really did.

He really did.
