|F O U R| Shopping & Seafood

I sit in my window seat with my coffee in hand. Luckily, I only encountered Bryan this morning when I got up. He was sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper, just like my father used to do. He didn't say much, other than a good morning.

Looking around at this new place, I miss my family. It wasn't supposed to be like this. I'm supposed to be in my house with my family. Not with a bunch of strangers. My parents shouldn't be dead. They were supposed to see me graduate and go to college, get married and start a family. They should be here.

"Hey Paislee, my mom said...oh." Aiden bursts through my door and sees me crying. I try to hide my face and clear up my tears.

"My mom said she needs you. I'm sorry. I'll knock next time." He tells me and runs out of the room.

I dry my face and go downstairs to find Julia.

"Damn! Watch where you're going!" Someone growls, after I run into what feels like a brick wall. I rub my nose and look up to see that it was Ashton.

Just my luck.

I put my head down and continue downstairs.

"Julia, you needed me?" I ask, once I spot her in a chair reading.

"Yes. You and Ashton are going shopping." She tells me.

Seriously? I have to go shopping with that asshole? He hates me.

"He doesn't hate you, Paislee. He just comes off a little rude." She laughs.

I so did not mean to say that out loud.

She gets up and hands me a debit card.

"What's this for?" I ask.

"It has a certain amount on it. I know your parents left you a lot of money in their will, but all the boys, except Aiden, has one. You should too. You may use it for anything you want or need, as long as it's legal. But, don't go crazy. Every time you use it, I get a text from the bank telling me what you bought and how much you spent. You're part of our family now, Paislee." She explains and gives me a smile.

"Thank you, Julia." I smile.

I head back up to my room and get dressed. I put on a pair of denim shorts, matched with a brown belt and a yellow top. I put on a few accessories and sandals, grab my purse, and head down to find Ashton.

"It's about damn time." He groans and gets up from the couch. Luckily, he decided to put a shirt on. Between the thoughts of sweat dripping off his abs and his shitty attitude towards me, my mind goes crazy every time I'm near him.

I follow him to the garage and of course there's like 10 vehicles in here; including my jeep that just arrived today. Julia and Bryan must be very good and whatever it is they do. Since he walks to a sports car, I'm guessing were driving his car instead of mine. If my jeep is here why the hell do I have to go with him?

I get in, buckle up, and we start heading towards the mall. Of course, Ashton doesn't say a word to me the whole ride. He just blasts the music on some kind of rock station. I swear he's like a walking cliche. He's got the whole bad boy act down perfectly. Messy hair, that 'I don't give a fuck attitude, leather jacket, and black t-shirts. Don't get me wrong, it's hot. Really hot. But, it's also hard to understand just who he is.

As soon as we get to the mall, Ashton leaves me to shop by myself. I shop for about 2 hours before I've pretty much bought up the whole mall. I got a lot of cute clothes and things for summer. I got a few pairs of shoes and a few pairs of heels. I also got a few things for my room and some random things. I text Ashton telling him to meet me at the car. Thankfully, Julia gave me all of their numbers to put in my phone.

Tonight Julia and Bryan are leaving to go to one of their businesses somewhere, so their taking us all out to dinner. I bought a pretty light purple laced spaghetti strapped dress, just for tonight. I curl my hair, put on some light makeup, and put on a pair of ice drop earrings.

Ring- Ring. Ring- Ring.

"Hey Liz." I answer, once I see Lizzie's caller I.D.

"Hey Pay. How's the new house? Any boys? You know if there are boys, they aren't your brothers." She asks and laughs.

"You're ridiculous. The house is fine. It's huge. And yes, there are boys. Four actually." I tell her.

"Four boys? You have got to be kidding!" She yells in my ear.

"Yup. Aiden, Logan, Lucas, and Ashton. Aiden is 5 and adorable. Logan and Lucas are 15 year-old twins. And Ashton is well...the devil." I inform her.

"Wow! Wait, why is Ashton the devil?" She asks.

"I don't know. He's just an ass. He's extremely rude and obnoxious. Sexy, but a straight up asshole." I laugh.

"Well how old is his sexy rude ass?" She questions.

"Same as us." I huff.

"Seriously? Your living with a sexy guy who just so happens to be the same age as you? Lucky!" She yells, as someone knocks on my door.

"Hey, Liz, I have to go." I tell her and hang up

"Come in." I yell.

"Mom said we leave in 30 minutes." Ashton steps in and tells me.

"Okay." I reply, as he walks out.

I slip on my heels, grab my purse, and go downstairs.

"Paislee, you look gorgeous." Julia smiles to me, once I reach the bottom of the stairs. Julia, Bryan, and Aiden take one car. Logan, Lucas, Ashton, and I take another.

Were having dinner at a very nice seafood restaurant called Antonio's.

We get to the restaurant and take our seats.

"Hello. My name is Mandy; I'll be your waitress tonight. What can I get for you all?" A fluffy red haired woman comes to our table and asks.

"We put in our orders when we made the reservations. Please bring the appetizers and water for everyone. Thank you." Bryan tells Mandy and dismisses her.

"What are we eating?" Ashton asks.

"Lobster!" Aiden screams and everyone laughs.

The waitress, Mandy, brings the appetizers and water. The appetizers are seafood stuffed mushrooms. I'm highly allergic to mushrooms, so I don't eat any and just sip my water.

"Paislee, there's enough for everyone." Bryan laughs.

"Oh, no. I know. I'm allergic to mushrooms." I sigh.

Julia gasps. "Oh, Paislee, I'm so sorry. I'll order something else."

"No, lobster will be fine. Thank you." I laugh and give a small smile.

Mandy brings the food out and we all eat. Dinner goes by quickly. At one point, Aiden decided to throw a shrimp into Ashton's hair. Everyone found it funny, besides Ashton.

Once we finish with dinner, Julia and Bryan have to go. We all say our goodbyes and head home.
