ASHTON'S POV
I sit by Paislee's hospital bed. It's been a whole month. A whole month she's been next to me but so far away at the same time.
She's in a coma.
When I found her at that house I was so relieved to see her alive. The whole way to that house I thought the worst. I thought she would be gone forever.
Jason Williams was shot and is now six feet under where he belongs. His nephew, Jasper, Has been convicted of attempted murder. He's serving 20 to life with no chance of parole. I figure since he's only eighteen they'll keep him in prison for about 5 years and then set him free. My parents are willing to fight to make sure that never happens. No one told the police that Logan had anything to do with it. He stayed in the hospital for a few days due to me beating the shit out of him. In the end I know he was trying to protect his family over a girl he barely knows. It will take a while before we can all forgive him but he's family and we love him.
Paislee's injuries were very severe. She had a major concussion, major blood lose, six broken ribs, and a broken jaw. The doctors say she's extremely lucky. They say she could wake up in the next hour or next few months. They say she probably won't remember anything about the kidnapping. They also say she may not remember anything at all. At this point I don't care. I want her to be alive and healthy, even if she has no clue who I am.
I love her and that's all that matters.
