It's been a month since mine and Aiden's wreck and so far things have been great. I finally got to get this damn brace off. Mine and Ashton's relationship has been very complicated. He keeps his distance from me since the kiss. I'm not really sure what to make of it, but it was one amazing kiss. Not that I like him or anything. I mean he's attractive, but I don't know.

Julia and Bryan got back from their business trip about 2 weeks ago, but they have to leave again soon, so were going on summer vacation this week. We're going to their family lake house.

"All ready?" Julia asks.

"Yeah." I smile and we load up into two cars.

Since it takes 4 hours to get there, Julia doesn't want us to drive, so she hired drivers. Me, Aiden, and Julia get in one car and Bryan, the twins, and Ashton are in another.

We get to the lake house and the first thing everyone wants to do is swim. We put all of our things in our rooms. I change into my swimsuit and beach hat and head to the lake. Everyone is already out there and swimming.

"What's up?" Logan asks, as he sits next to me.

"Just enjoying the day. You?" I reply.

"Bored as hell." He laughs.

"Is this all were going to do?" I ask, trying not to be rude.

"Nope. Tomorrow we're going canoeing and sometime before we leave were going white water rafting." He tells me.

The week goes by quickly and before we know it's the last day. We went rafting and canoeing, like Logan said. Aiden and Ashton shared a canoe and ended up tipping it over. It was hilarious. Today is our last day and we plan on just sitting at the house. Julia and Brian are spending quality time with each other at the lake.

Around 11, I can't sleep so I decide to go sit by the pool. The weather is nice. It's not too hot or too cold. I change back into my swimsuit and go to the pool.

"Is there a reason you're out here at 1 in the morning swimming? Aren't you scared of big foot coming and snatching you up?" Ashton asks.

Wow, I can't believe I've been out here for two hours.

"Nah. I heard he's afraid of water." I laugh. "I couldn't sleep"

"Me either. Can I join you?" He asks.

"Sure." I reply.

He gets and the pool and swims next to me.

"So, you ready to go home tomorrow?" He asks.

"Sort of. It's really nice here, but I miss my room." I admit.

He laughs. "That's all?"

"Yeah, I guess." I shrug.

He stays quiet for a minute. "Paislee, I'm sorry."

I look at him, confused. "For what?"

He rubs the back of his neck. "For...everything. For giving you mixed feelings. For the kiss. Well, actually not for the kiss. I'm not sorry about that."He smirks. "But I am sorry for the running away and ignoring you part."

I'm not sorry for that kiss either. "It's okay, I guess."

"No, it's not." Ashton says.

He puts his hand on my cheek gently and kisses me hard. I don't waste any time and kiss him back. I want to savor this. 

He runs his hand down my neck, my arm, and my back. His hand roams my body freely, but making sure not to go too far. His touch leaves tingles all over my body once again. I run my hand in his hair and he leans me up against the side of the pool. The concrete of the pool is cold on my back, but his body heats me up. His lips find my neck. My body is on fire.

He plants one more kiss on my lips and stops.

"Goodnight, Paislee." He breathes, gets out of the pool, and leaves.

"Goodnight, Ashton." I giggle and head up to my room.

There's those mixed feelings he was talking about.
