Katherine was chewing a gum next to her window.
She had her notebook on her lap and wrote the words below:

A sweet small chewing gum gives me happiness though it's small.
Why the sight of it makes me smile,
Although I know that this moment won't last long.
When you enjoy its presence,
You won't notice the way it fades,
Until the time will come
When the flavor has gone away.

She became bitter, but she doesn't know.

"It's Valentine's day tomorrow," she spoke, as she read what she wrote. It reminded her of her young love, how it felt so sweet and how it left her so sour.
