Caught Up

Maiya's POV

Roc left my house and right now I'm getting ready. Five minutes after he left, I heard the door open which kinda startled me. Then there were footsteps coming closer to my room. I quickly slipped on a black crop top that said LOVE and some black sweatpants. The door slowly opened and I saw it was just my mom. Phew!

M.M:Morning love.

Maiya:Morning.(puts on Jordan 1 Flights)

M.M:You need a ride??

Maiya:Sure I'll be down in 10.

M.M:Ok I'll be waiting in the car. Grab a granola bar on the way out.(leaves the room)

Maiya:Ok

I put my my hair in a ponytail and put on a black headband. Black theme today. I grabbed my bag and phone, then headed downstairs to the kitchen. My mom had left the granola bar on the counter for me so I grabbed it and went outside to the car. I got in, closing the door behind me. My mom looked really worn out but I decided not to question her. When you do that, she throws a fit. The ride was quiet and we arrived at my school in 11 minutes.

Maiya:See ya later mom. Love you (blows a kiss)

M.M:(catches it) See ya later sweetie. I'm gonna go home and get some rest.(pulls off)

I started walking when all of a sudden I felt arms wrap around my waist. At first I thought it was Roc, but just to be sure I turned around. When I saw the face, I stopped dead in my tracks and almost died. It was Myles. I wanted to run away so, so bad. When I tried to, he pulled me back.

Myles:Missed me

Maiya:N-n-no.

Myles:Aww my baby is scared....Well don't be.

Maiya:Let go of me you bastard!(struggles to get away)

Myles:Stfu! Come to my house tonight and if I don't see at 6, you finna get it! Understood?!

Maiya:Mhm.

Myles:Good now give daddy a kiss.

Maiya:No

Myles:I SAID GIVE ME A KISS!

Maiya:(kisses hesitantly)

Myles:(kisses back and breaks the kiss after 2 minutes)Rd sexy.Go to class.

I ran away looking for Roc, but instead I ran into Princeton. I was crying so hard. Jaylene was with him and when she saw me, she came over immediately asking me what's wrong.

Jaylene:What's wrong boo??

Maiya:I'm sc-sc-scared.

Jaylene:Who tf did this to my baby?! Was it Myles?

Maiya:Yes.

Jaylene:This bitch don't know how to leave women alone.(pulls her into a hug)We gon do something about this.

Princeton's POV

Maiya just came over here balling her eyes out. Jaylene comforted her and I think she has a plan in mind. This is why I love this girl and I'm glad she's all mine. Meanwhile I pulled out my phone to call the only other person I knew she probably would want to comfort her at a time like this. I dialed the number. It rang a few times until he answered

*Phone Convo*

Roc:Sup

Princeton: Hey. Where are you? We have a problem.

Roc:I'm walking towards you guys now.

Princeton:Rd.(hangs up)

Roc walked up a few minutes after I hung up. He immediately ran over to Maiya and pulled her into his arms. At least he got here immediately because Maiya was pretty distraught. I walked over to them and put my arm around Jaylene's shoulders.

Roc's POV

I came over to see Maiya balling her eyes out. I quickly pulled her into a warm hug. She burried her face in my chest as her tears kept rolling down her cheeks, soaking my new shirt. Part of me was pissed but more of me new she was worth all my affection.

Roc:Baby what's wrong.

Maiya:I don't wanna go there later.

Roc:Where?You don't have to go. You can leave with me later.

Maiya:Yes I do! He'll hurt me if I don't.

Roc:Baby I promise I'll protect you from "him" but you have to tell me who he is.

Maiya:Myles! Ok?! That's my ex and he will surely kill me if I don't complete his fucking orders. Don't you think I don't wanna go?Huh? 'Cause I honesty don't! But at the same time, my got damn life depends on it. You can't save me from that bastard. Many have tried and all have-

She started crying even more now and I felt so sorry for her. I hugged tighter and looked at her. Then I spoke.

Roc:I will surely protect you from him. Me and Myles go wayyy back. I will keep you safe from him for sure.

Maiya:(stops crying)Promise?

Roc:Promise with all of me.

She instantly let go once the bell rung and we both walked hand-in-hand to class. I dropped her off at hers and went to mine.

Maiya's POV

Today went by quickly and all I could think about was what would all go down later on tonight. I was truly scared. The bell rang meaning it was time to leave. I met Roc at his car and we went to his house. We chilled at his house and then I realized we had to go if I was gonna be at Myles' house in time. He gave in but only because he loved me and we had a plan. We aren't a couple but he surely acts like we are. We arrived at Myles's apartment and I called Roc's phone which was part of the plan. He put himself on mute so he wouldn't be heard. I walked up to his place and knocked on the door. He opened the door and..........
