Everyone’s jaw dropped. They couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Was it some kind of a joke or something?, they asked themselves.

“What is this supposed to mean?”, Mike asked Liam with a terrified expression on his face.

“Beats me”, Liam answered. This was just so confusing. Everything was so confusing and mysterious. “Wait, there’s more”.

Liam noticed that were was something written at the bottom of the tombstone. It was written in tiny little letters.

Mike approached Liam and grabbed the tombstone from his hand. He gazed at it hardly, trying to read what was written. It was in a language that Mike didn’t understand but he read it anyway.

“Karru marri…..”, Mike started. Daniel and Timmy both exchanged glances. Liam’s eyes widened. They seemed like they’ve heard those words before.

“Odonna loma molonu karrano”, Mike finished.

“NO!”, the boys screamed together. It was the curse. Mike read the curse.

Everyone felt a stab of fear in their chests. They had a feeling that something wrong was about to happen, and their feeling was right.

As soon as Mike finished the sentence, hard wind came from nowhere with this short notice. It was so hard that it was capable of removing a tree from its roots.

“Everyone, go inside the house”, Mike shouted.

Everyone was covering their faces with their hands. The wind was so hard that it removed the swing from its place and threw it far away.

They all ran toward the house except for one. Liam.

Liam was frozen in his place, not moving at all. Maybe he couldn’t, or maybe he wouldn’t. He was standing infront of the hole, staring at it.

“Liam!”, Mike shouted from all over the front door stoop.

Liam didn’t respond. He didn’t move. He did nothing.

The harder the wind became, the chance of standing still on the ground decreased. The wind could now remove a person from his place, but for the shock, Liam stayed there. Frozen.

Mike wanted to do something. He wanted to see what was wrong with his son, but before he could do anything, he had sensed a sign telling him not to.

That sense tried to warn Mike and tell him that he might regret trying to get his son. But that wasn’t possible, was it?

“Dad, what’s wrong?”, Miranda asked her father, she was grabbing his shirt tightly in her grip. Her face was pale. She looked terrified.

“I don’t know”, Mike replied. “I’ll go get your brother and I’ll be right back”.

Mike took a few steps toward Liam. He could barely move. The wind was so hard. What was its cause?, Mike asked. That question might always remain a mystery.

Mike stopped for a brief second when he noticed something. Something huge. Something big. And it was coming toward Liam…

It was a car. A huge car. Coming toward Liam.

“Liam!”, Mike screamed. “Watch out!”.

Liam has finally came back to life. He looked around to see what was going on to see the car coming straight at him.

“DAD!”, Liam screamed. Suddenly, everything became foggy. Fog conquered the place. It was impossible to see anything, even impossible to see your own hands and body.
