Chapter 10: I love you, goodbye

Kanina pa umalis si Jiro pero hindi ko pa rin makalimutan ang nangyari kanina. The feathers and that light, I just can't take it off my mind. Siguradong nakita ko na to noon pero bakit hindi ko maalala kung saan?

I was in the middle of thinking when my doorbell rang. Agad akong naglakad papunta sa pinto para buksan ito. Bumungad lang naman sakin ang nakangiting si Lance. Pero katulad ng kay Jiro may kakaiba rin sa kanya ngayon. He was also glowing but it's only a faint light. There are also feathers floating around him pero kaunti lang ito. And the unique part is the feather's color was different. Half of it was white and the other half was black.

"Good morning, princess!" he greeted me with a wide smile.

"Good morning, Lance." I said as I slowly walk towards him and stretched out my hand to take the feather over his head. Agad ko naman itong nilagay sa bulsa pagkatapos ko itong makuha.

"Uhm why did you do that?" He curiously asked.

"May dumi kasi sa ulo mo inalis ko lang. Come in." I lied. Alangan namang sabihin ko sa kanyang kinuha ko ang isang balahibo sa ulo niya.

Agad naman siyang pumasok at umupo sa sofa. He patted the space next to him and I automatically made my way to sit beside him. If I closed my eyes, would this weird things will vanish? Pinikit ko ang aking mga mata at minulat ko lang ito ng marinig ko siyang magsalita.

"So what's our agenda for today?" He asked and I gave him a box full of letters. The funny thing is I was right. The feathers and light vanished around him just because I closed my eyes.

"To finish the eight thing on the list. That box contains letters for different persons. I want them to have it after a month. Magagawa mo bang maihatid sa kanila ang lahat ng yan?"

"I think so pero bakit walang sulat yung kambal na Seo pati na rin yung Jiro mo?" He said as he look at each envelope one by one

"I personally said my thanks to the twins yesterday. And as for Jiro, I have a lot to say to him so I have to prepare myself first."

"I see, then I'll go now." He said as he walked his way towards the door

"Lance!" He immediately turned after hearing his name.

"Lance, you are my very first friend. We became too close that you became my boyfriend. But things didn't work out so you turned to be my ex. I thank you for every memories that you shared with me may it be happy or not. I thank you for bringing me up in my darkest day,for saving me in my distress and helping me to live my life in best. You were always taking care of me. Thank you for everything Lance and I'm sorry for not being a good girlfriend, I mean ex-girlfriend. I'm sorry for taking you for granted and I'm sorry for not being able to give you my whole heart. I like you a lot Lance, I really do but-

"But you just can't give my feelings back?" He said to cut me off and I nodded. Then he turned around and walked slowly until he reached me.

"It's okay Savannah, I know you tried really hard but maybe we're not just meant to be together and that's why you can't give me your heart." He said as he gently hold my cheeks and a tear escaped from my eyes.

"I love you, Lance."

"I know and I love you too, Savannah." then he lowered his head to kiss me in the forehead and whispered...

"Though it's a shame that we have different feelings and you only love me as a friend." He pouted which made me chuckled.

Then the door suddenly opened and Jiro fell down on the floor. Agad din naman siyang bumangon at tumayo.
