Delightful lullabies
Unwelcome goodbyes
In all this crazy weather
you're what keeps me together.
A heart that's seeking light.
A mind that sees in black and white.
Paint the world a million hues,
a rainbow in my life transfuse.
Swimming in a sea of grey.
Staring faces made of clay.
Porcelain hearts crack and break.
They're the ones that I forsake.
Breaking all the rules
made by shallow fools.
She thought within the box,
minding all the clocks.
They may think I'm awful
but don't think I'm so docile
that I won't stand strong
to write my own song.
Gauranteed to be hard,
I refuse to be scarred
by their mournful imposition.
We don't need their permission.
Delightful lullabies
Unwelcome goodbyes
In all this crazy weather
you're what keeps me together.
