Dylan's POV
"And you said I couldn't beat you" Bre said after I let her win in 2K for the second time. "Whatever" I said turning off the game not because she beat me, simply because I didn't want to hurt her feelings if I decided to ask for a rematch. We sat in a comfortable silence for a moment before she spoke "Aye Dyl" "yeah?" I asked looking at her "You think we were acting weird today?" She asked playing in her curls "Probably not, bee and wan definitely were! It's not hard to tell that they want to be more than friends" I replied "they probably can't find the words to say" bre said playing in my hair "it's not easy to tell some people your feelings though, you'll never know how they're going to take it" I said putting the TV on Spongebob "doesn't hurt to try don't you think?" She questioned "But sometimes if you rush into things it turns out to be a mess" I uttered "true but not if the feelings are mutual" she retorted
I don't know how the conversation got this deep or if she was trying to tell me something or if my feelings towards Bre were about to pour out of my mouth! I was extremely glad when she changed the subject "anyway what's the move for this weekend?" "Movies" "ooh what movie we going see?" she excitedly asked "We?, Who said I was bringing you?" I said with a chuckle "you didn't have to say it, I'm going and that's final" she said catching me off guard in a picture "you must be paying too?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her "You see I would but the way my bank account set u-" she started to say before I cut her off "I'm just kidding, I got you" "aww that's so nice of you" she said with a smile.
Bre stayed a little while longer before telling me goodnight and giving me a goodbye hug. Even though it was only for a little while, I really enjoyed my time with her. I know I'm going to enjoy myself this weekend too! I'm going to go dream about that, don't judge me, I'll talk to you guys later!
Jawan's POV
I explained what bee and I discussed to Pryce while giving him a ride home from school. "Looks like somebody finally got your mind off of ole girl!" He said like a proud parent "Eh, not exactly" I said almost running a red light "what you mean?" he asked going through my glove compartment "No matter how hard I try, I can't get her out my head!" I said damn near passing up a stop sign. I honestly didn't know what was going on with my driving today cause ya boy knows not to run a stop sign or a red light!
"Write about it" Pryce said while leaning the seat all the way back "that's a great idea, even though I been wrote something" "all my ideas are great! let me hop on that track though !" He retorted
"I got you bro! What's the move for the weekend though?" I asked stopping to let an elderly lady and some kids walk across the street; I lowkey regretted it since they took about 5 minutes to walk across. "Minnie wants me to take her to the movies" he said smiling "I knew y'all had something going on!" I divulged
"It's not even like that bruh! She mean as hell towards me and she said I got too many female associates" he uttered "well she's not wrong" I said finally moving my car forward "I don't think it's a big deal though" he shrugged "why do you keep those girls around anyway?...never mind don't answer that!"
"It's not because of that, they're cool people when they're not pestering me about getting into a serious relationship" "maybe it's time to settle down bro" "I'll think about that" he replied now while he thinking about that ya boy is gonna go think of something to do this weekend cause ya boy ain't tryna be stuck in the house yafeewme?!
