Where Is My Prince chapter 4

     Monday swung around. Liz had her hair in a messy bun; her eyes were red and puffy. James was not at the pillar to greet her. She walked inside all alone. When Preston did his daily flirt, no-one was there to stop him. The Prince came and have her a red rose which she stuck through her bun to hold it together more. She walked passed the cafeteria. Glancing at a random table she saw James. It stopped her in her tracks. Her brow furrowed as she saw the fan girl sitting and talking to him. After they stopped talking she leaned in and kissed his cheek for a long time. Elizabeth started walking toward them, but then fan girl walked to her. She looked Liz strait in the eye and said," You stole my Prince, so I stole yours." Liz cocked her arm back about to release when she felt Preston's hand on her shoulder. Liz relaxed her arm and stared at James who stared back. Tears filed her eyes. "I'm...I'm sorry," she said wiping her eyes which just brought more tears. Liz ran into the art room where she sobbed in Steve's arms, while Jailee got her tissues and water. "I don't know what to do," she said between breaths. "I bet they don't know either," Jailee said while Steve rubbed her back. The bell rang and Liz pulled herself together.
     In class she did her work very slowly. When she was done, she didn't bother listening to music; she just sat there,using her arms as pillows on her desk. James and fan girl were sitting where James and her had sat. She nuzzled in his chest. Laughing like a hyena. First period came to an end. Edward and Preston stopped Liz. "You two are mad at me too, aren't you,"Elizabeth said to her friends. They took this shocked. "No. Not at all. We just want to know what's wrong," Edward said holding her hands in his. "I'll explain all this in free period. Meet me by the big oak tree. Can you do that?" she asked. Preston said in a heartbeat," Of course."
      Misery continued all day. Free period final rolled around. Liz sat under the big oak tree. The Prince showed up and sat on her close right. Preston on her close left. She told them exactly what happens Saturday. Sobbing on their shoulders. "I'll kill him for making you cry," Preston said revealing the knife he had in his pocket. "No! I made him cry first. I'm just more emotional than he is. Don't hurt him," Elizabeth pleaded. Preston's teeth would not separate. He was furious. "So, You're in love James," Edward said as his bangs fell into his eyes. "This is why I wanted to keep my mouth shut. I do love James. But, I love both of you too. I care about all three of you deeply. If anyone hurt any of you," she paused as she swung her fist into the tree trunk creating a huge crater. Free period (third period) was over her next three classes had James in them.
      Art was her sanctuary. Steve was still figuring out the colors he was going to use. Jailee was working on the 2d part of her 2d and 3d combo. Liz stood up and started forming the clay. She knew exactly what to make. She used tooth picks to make the line precise before the clay dries. Liz was forming a throne representing Edward, but the fabric  pattern was that of Steve's when they met. Liz is sitting on the throne holding a scepter resembling a snake(Preston), and she has a cat in her lap (James) that she is stroking. For today it has to dry, but tomorrow she will air brush it outside.
      Elizabeth sat on the bus contemplating what she would do. When she got to her street she bolted home. She ran into her room, draw the curtains, and sat at desk twirling the pencil in her hand and tapping her foot. Every so often Liz would look over at the spot where James left. I won't let you go James, she thought, not ever.
       Elizabeth put on her favorites playlist and coincidentally the first song to come up was Forever and Always. She mummed along thinking of James.
       Pretty soon after Liz finished sketching out the minor details Preston shows up out of nowhere. "Hey peaches! Watcha going," he said climbing in her window. "How do you people know where I live!" Elizabeth exclaimed as she shoved her sketches in the closet. "Come with me. I want to go somewhere with you," Preston said putting his arm around her. "Let me ask my mom," Liz said leading him down stairs. "Hey! Mom! Where are you?" she called out. "Right, she's at work. Only for another hour though. Wanna wait out out here?" Elizabeth asked gesturing to the couch. They sat down and Liz asked if he wanted anything. To that he responded," That's why I came here. I want you. I want you to see something." Liz got curious, what does he want me to see?, she thought. The talked the hour away with laughs and thought filled silences also. Ms Panchum showed up and let them go without really paying attention. It had been a long day at the firm. They headed out the door, and Preston held her hand to guide her. And she allowed him. Then she thought, where is he taking me?
