Elizabeth was sitting at her desk in her room sketching out what she would sculpt. After a while, she made coco, put on her favorite jacket, woolly boots, and jeans. She leaned against the railing of her personal balcony out her window. James descended from the roof above her. She screamed falling over and spilling her coco all over herself. "Sorry, are you okay?" James said as he helped her up. "Yeah, I just need to change," Liz said, trying to wipe off the coco with her sleeve. "I can wait," he said stroking his finger across her stomach and licking it, "Good coco by the way." Liz laughed and shoved his shoulder back. "Wait here, it seeped into my jacket and shirt so it might take while. Do you wanna come inside?" Liz said grabbing his wrist to lead him in. James pulled away just enough that she would grab his hand. "Smooth move kitty," Liz said, just going with it. She led him into her big room. "You can wait in the hall,"she said shoving him in the hall and locking the door behind him. James stood there awkwardly. Liz unlocked the door and stepped into the hall. She took out her hair tie and her hair fell perfectly on her shoulders. Her jacket open in the front revealing her solid purple v neck. James's face got pink just looking at her. "Wanna go down stairs and watch a movie or something? I could make more coco," Liz said stroking her right hand through her hair. "Sure," James replied following her down the stairwell. "Mom! Do we have more hot chocolate or do I need to make more!?" Liz yelled trying to catch the attention of her mother. "I finished it off! Sorry, Pumpkin!" Liz's mom replied. James sat on the sofa while Elizabeth went into the kitchen to make hot chocolate. She came back and handed him a mug. "So. How did you know where I live James," Liz said sipping her cup. James choked on his drink. "Reliable source," he said winking at her. Liz's mom walked in the room. "I'm gonna take out that balcony if people keep showing up," she said playfully. "Oh, sorry mom. This is James," Liz said resting her hand on his arm. "Nice to meet you Mrs..."James trailed off. "Ms. Panchum," she corrected. "My mother left my father when I was little," Liz said rubbing the side of her cup slowly. "I'm sorry I brought it up," James said covering Elizabeth's hand with his. They sat in silence a while. "Your house is pretty cool Ms. Panchum," James said, breaking the silence. "I like this one," Ms Panchum said to Liz," Good luck Lizzykins." James broke out laughing. Ms Panchum walked out the front door saying, "I need some groceries. Love yah."
James and Liz sat closer than they thought. "Is this a date, Lizzykins," James said trying not to laugh. "Shut up, kitty," Liz said. She stood up and walked over to the bookshelf on the far wall. "What movie do you want to watch," Liz asked crossing her arms. James walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and put his chin atop her head. "I don't know, Lizzy. What do you wanna watch,"James answered. At the sight of her favorite movie she pulled away, making James feeling if he took it to far. "S-sorry,"he said. "For what," Liz asked, her head cocked," Anyway. This is my favorite movie of all time." At this point, James knew, he was an idiot. Elizabeth walked to the Xbox and popped in the disc. The title screen read The Notebook. James sat on the couch first. Then Liz fell on the couch and laid on his lap. She grabbed the remote and pressed play.
After the movie was finished, James even had a tear in his eye. They went upstairs to Liz's room. "Nice room, Girly. It suits you," James said leaning back in the window seat. "Hey James. Are the other guys mad at me for neglecting them all day?"Liz asked. The conversation suddenly got heavy. "All I know is that I'm not," he answered truthfully. "Why is that," she asked. "I heard you and the fan girl talking," James said lowering his head. Liz's back straightened immediately. "That's why I say I'm kidding. Because I know you don't have feelings for me. Even though I can't stop me feelings for you,"James said as a tear rolls down his cheek. Liz starts to apologize but James continues. "Look at me. Saying these things. I'm a cat. I'm not supposed to be warm and close. I'm supposed to be cold and distant. But for some reason, I can't be, what I'm supposed to be, when I'm with you. I feel like all I want to do is be close to you," James took in a breath and wiped his eyes, "I think I should leave." At this moment Liz could feel her heart crumble. Not just crumble, incinerate. "James! Please! I said that to get her off my back! I promise! Today was a date!" Liz pleaded. "Don't lie to me Elizabeth! I'm leaving. This is bye. I don't know for how long," James stepped out her window. He hopped to the ground and slowly walked away. Liz curled up on the corner of her bed and hid her face. "He's mad at me now," Elizabeth said into her crossed arms, "Isn't he."
