Chapter 6
"Okay guys, we have about four hours to wait until our next flight. So I guess just make your self comfortable on these benches until we have to leave." Liam said.
We were in California now and only had one more flight left until we reach Hawaii, everyone seemed exhausted even though we all slept through the last flight. I don't think I've ever gotten so much sleep in my life, that's the one good thing about these long plane rides.
"Um, I don't think that will be happening." Louis said looking at his phone. "Apparently, there's going to be a big storm coming through here today. We're lucky we got on the flight from Boston to here, it's going to be pretty bad."
"Really? Well then, I'll go talk to someone that works here and see what the verdict is." Liam said and then went off to find someone.
"No luck," Liam said once he returned. "They said they'll be making an announcement in a few minutes to tell everyone here at the airport at once. They aren't aloud to give information out to just one person."
We all sat and waited anxiously and eventually a voice came on over the intercom system. "Attention all workers and passengers, due to expected weather conditions no flights will be leaving our airport for atleast twelve hours. There is no positive time that we will resume our flying schedule, please check with our customer service helpers if you have any more questions. Sorry for your inconvience."
"You've got to be kidding me." Grace said, staring to looked a little panicked. "What are we going to do now?"
"Relax," Zayn said to her, he walked over to her and put his arm around her shoulders. "We'll figure something out."
She nodded in agreement and took a deep breath.
"So are we just going to wait it out here or go to a hotel or something?" I asked, turning to the rest of the guys.
"Let's go talk to someone over at customer service and see what they say." Liam said.
"I'm coming with you, I want to see what they say." I said and joined him on the walk over to customer service.
"Hello, how may I help you?" A middle aged woman said to us once we got over there, she had a big smile on her face. Which was a little creepy if you asked me.
"Yes, we are wondering about the flight conditions. Do you know when the next flight to Hawaii will be?" Liam asked her.
"Well I'm sure you are aware of what's happening, but we currently aren't aloud to give out any exact dates or times. The most I can tell you is that the next flight won't be for atleast two days." She said while checking the computer in front of her for more information.
"Are you sure that's all you can tell us?" I asked her, two days isn't very helpful.
"Yes, feel free to call our customer service line if you need any more information later. But as of now that's all I can tell you."
"Alright, do you now the closest hotel we can stay at?" Liam asked her.
"There are buses currently leaving the airport to the closest hotel about twenty five minutes away. There aren't anymore hotels in the area and the bus rides are free."
"Okay, thanks you for your time." I said smiling politely at her, even though she wasn't much of a help.
"So I guess we're going to the hotel then?" I said to Liam as we made our way back over to everyine else.
"Unfortunately yes, unless we want to stay here for the next to days or so."
"Well that's just great." I said sarcastically.
