Oliver and I just layed there for quite some time, enjoying the close contact.

Eventually the relaxing sound of his steady breathes was broken when he said, "Maybe we should get back to dinner?"

I sighed simply. I did want to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner with my loved ones but I literally never wanted to move from this spot, right on top of Oli's chest in between his covers.

I nodded eventually, and we slowly sat up and got out of his bed.

Oli crawled through his window into my room and gently grasped my hand to help me in.

Once I was in my room with him, he looked down at my face and used his thumbs to wipe away all the smudged eyeliner from underneith my eyes.

I gave a small smile and he kissed my forehead. He then took my hand and interlocked his fingers with mine.

"Let's go," he said, facing the door, as if we were about to go fight the greatest war of our lives.

We walked out of my room and down the hall to go downstairs and join every one who we had just forced to witness our awkward quarrel.

"And then I was like, uh HELLO, I don't know if you know this but I'm like the queen up in this class and I don't appreciate you giving me attitude, lookin' like Susan Boyle and shit," Kat rambled as my grandparents just stared at her awkwardly and nodded with fake smiles.

Oli and I just stood at the end of the staircase, looking at the table, hesitant to rejoin the group.

My mother looked at us knowingly and simply said, "C'mon guys, rejoin us. The food's nearly frozen."

Oli and I shared a smile and walked over to the table and began to eat.

"So.." started Aunt Liv.

"Olivia," my mother interrupted, "come help me start putting these left overs away."

Aunt Liv nodded simply, and got up, shooting a look towards Oli. A look of discontentment. Almost as if she was the one who had just gotten into a fight with him, or like she was so high class and he was a peasant.

I just glared, confused, then noticed Oli just looking at her uncomfortably while taking a bit of his food.

Aunt Liv just followed my mom to the kitchen and I just dropped my gaze to my plate.

"What the hell is your aunt's problem?" Kat asked bluntly and a tad too loud and Aunt Liv turned around to shoot one more dirty look, but this time in Kat's direction.

Kat, however, shot one right back at her.

"That's just Olivia," said Uncle Tony simply. "Stubborn as all hell and a bit rough around the edges, but what can I say? I love her," he continued.

I saw a smile form on Oli's face and he softly rubbed his hand against my thigh and knee as to signify that I'm stubborn and rough around the edges, but he loves me anyway.

Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or an insult.

Oli then took my hand and intertwined our fingers and began using his thumb to lightly stroke the edge of my hand.

Alright.

Compliment it is.

"I don't understand why she has to treat every one like they're beneath her though," I said in a motherly way, as to demand an explanation for her rudeness towards Oliver.

"I think I may have something to do with that," said Grandpa Earl, raising a hand as to confess his guilt.

"What do you mean, papa?" I asked.
