I mentally sighed and got off the couch to go upstairs to my room and change.

I opened the door to my room and instantly felt relaxed as I smelled the candles that filled the room with the scent of dragon-fruit. I walked over to the dresser and pulled out a Blink 182 shirt. I started to take off the black tank top I was wearing, and just as I was pulling it over my head, I heard a disgustingly familiar British accent say, "Damn girl," in a seductive tone.

I screamed and dropped my body to the floor. I roughly face palmed myself and thought, "Shit! How could I have forgotten to close the shades before I started changing? God, I'm an idiot!" The Sykes' house and mine were so close together that if I stretched my leg out far enough, I could go from my room into Oli's though our windows. "Fucking Oli, you're such a perv!" I yelled, while pulling the Blink shirt on, still lying on the floor.

I stood up just to see Oli making kissy faces at me, and thrusting his hips back and forth. "Oh God," I said with and eye roll and threw my black tank top through his window. Unfortunately, he caught it, instead of it hitting him in the face like I'd planned. He put it against his face and took a deep breath in. He threw it back into my room and said, "Ew," with a disgusted face.

"Shut up, you know I smell like roses," I replied to his look.

"Dead ones," he said under his breath.

I just rolled my eyes. "Where are you even going anyways? Why can't you babysit your little brother?" I asked.

"Well, mother's going on a business trip. As for me, I have a date tonight," Oli said with a "HA, are you jealous?" tone.

"Oooooooh," I mocked, waving my hands in the air.

"Don't be jealous dollface, there's plenty of the Sykesman to go around," he winked.

"Okay, ew," I said, "shouldn't you be like taking a shower or something? You're going on a date."

"Pft. She's notthat cute," Oli scoffed.

"Unbelievable," I said, shaking my head.

I got a pair of jeans out of the dresser and went into my bathroom to change my pants. I came back out, pulled on a purple hoodie, slipped on my fuzzy slippers, and began walking downstairs. "Bye mom, I'm gonna go babysit Tom for a few hours," I informed.

"Alright hun," she said, not even looking up from her book.

I walked over to the Sykes' and knocked on the door.

"Hello gorgeous! You're just in time, I was just about to leave," said Carol, with a briefcase in her hand. "Oli! Tom!" she called.

Both boys came down from upstairs. "Tom, be on your best behavior! I don't want to hear any complaints from Autumn. Oli, be home no later than 11. You boys keep this house clean, and I'll see you in three days," Carol said giving both boys a kiss, and walking out the door.

After the taxi that was taking her to the airport left, I gave Oli a look. "Well, isn't it about time you left too? You wouldn't want to keep your little bimbo waiting," I said and gave a sarcastic smile.

"You're just jealous cause you know you want a piece of this," Oli said dismissively.

"Oh please, don't make me lose my lunch, Oli," I said, grabbing my stomach.

"Whatever," Oli spat, "be back later," he said grabbing his jacket and keys, and walking out the door.

"Please, take your sweet time," I said closing the door.

I turned to face Tom. "Hey little man!" I said, pulling the ten year old into a hug and ruffling his hair.

"Hi Autumn," Tom said, hugging me back and flipping his hair back into place.

"Whatcha wanna do tonight?" I asked.

"Hmmm..." Tom thought, "let's play a board game?" he suggested with a smile.

"Read my mind, bro," I smiled. "What do you have?"

"We have... Monopoly," Tom said with a smile.

"Well let's set that sucker up!" I laughed.

After about three hours of playing monopoly, the sun was just starting to set, and Tom's stomach growled. "Whoa, little man. Is there a demon inside you, or are you hungry?" I giggled.

"Starved!" Tom replied.

"Well let's see what you guys got around here," I said, going to the kitchen. I opened the fridge.

"Want a sandwich?" I suggested.

"Pb&j," Tom replied with a smile.

"You got it," I smiled back.

After making Tom his sandwich, playing more boardgames, and watching tv for a while, Tom and I both fell asleep on the couch while watching The Hangover. Probably not the best movie to show a ten year old, but hey, it was freaking hilarious.

I woke up, startled, because my phone buzzed in the pocket of my hoodie. The house was dark other then the light from the Tv. I looked down to read my text.

Autumn, I'm gonna be a little late. Gotta give my "bimbo" a ride home.

- Oli

I checked the clock on the kitchen stove which read 11:16 PM.

"Psh, I should tell his mom he wasn't home by 11," I thought, but I couldn't even focus on being mean to Oli because my eyes were getting so sleepy again. I texted my mom, "Hey, I think I might be home a little late." And before I knew it, I was asleep again.

I wasn't sure how much time had past but in the middle of my sleep, I felt a blanket being layed over me. "Mom?" I asked, voice half asleep. Whoever it was just shushed me softly, and went towards the stairs to go up to Oli's room. It could've been a thief for all I know, but all I know is, I was too disoriented to even move my body. I just snuggled into the blanket, and fell into a deep sleep for the rest of the night.
