I was up bright and early to get ready. If I screwed this up my dad would kill me. The boys had arrived two days before and now I got to meet them. I was terrified.

I have had much experience flirting. I do it everytime we have a party. I've also kissed more boys then I'm allowed to admit but this was different. I knew how to handle snobby royals. These were commoners.

I watched as the boys filed in talking to one another not noticing my presence at all. It made me smile a bit because in a moment I would make them all look like fools. Except one. One boy looked up from his conversation and winked at me. He didn't bow as he was supposed to. Still I felt a blush creep up on my cheeks. As I counted all of them to make sure everyone had arrived I only counted 34. Just as I finished a boy ran in. I giggled to myself. He sat down beside the winker who was laughing at him. Now I could speak.

"Welcome everyone. I'm very excited to meet all of you." That was a load of bull. "Before we eat I would like to meet all of you. One by one you will come to me and have a quick meeting then go tell the next person. The faster this goes the faster we can all eat so let's get started." I smiled. The boys were all shocked except the winker. I needed to figure out his deal.

I sat down in my special area and waited for the first boy.

"Hello your Highness. It's very nice to meet you. My name is Charlie Gardener." He introduced. I remembered him.

"I'm Maya. Nice to meet you." I offered my hand and he kissed it.

"Trust me, the pleasure is all mine. How often do I get to meet girls as beautiful and regal as you." He was a kiss up.

"Why thank you Mr Gardener." I fake giggled. He needed to think he had a shot.

"I'm not too sure where we go from here..." He stated awkwardly.

"Than you may go. Send in the next one." I smiled. He nodded and left.

"Princess Maya it is an honour to be in your presence."

"And you are?" I asked the boy who looked like he was about to have a panic attack.

"Dave. But you can call me whatever you want."

"Dave is fine. It's nice to meet you."

"Really? I'm kind of boring. Well that's what my friends say they tell me I need to live a little. That's the only reason I entered the selection. Don't get me wrong, you're a great girl. I think. I'm not sure there are a lot of rumours about you-"

"Would you mind staying back after I'm done?" I asked politely. This wasn't going to work out.

"Of course Milady. " He slipped out and sent in the next person. There weren't too many overly bad or overly good ones. That is until I got to Boing.

"Good Morning Maya." He said with a smile that made me weak in the knees.

"Hello Boing...I mean uh um..." I blushed and stared at my feet.

"Its Josh. But that nickname is cute." He laughed. Even his laugh was hot.

"Yeah let's not mention that to the others." I said awkwardly.

"As you wish."

"So what do you do back home? " I asked trying to avoid more embarrassment.

"I'm a model." He stated proudly.

"Of course you are." I sighed shaking my head.

"Good to know you find me attractive." He smirked. I blushed again or still. "I'll send in the next one." He left and in came Farkle.

"I remember you." I stated. "Farkle Minkus."

"That's my name. Don't wear it out." He smiled.

"I don't see how you could." I giggled he joined in.

"There's that giggle I love." I raised my eyebrows to question him. "I see you on TV every week. I watch you in the background bored out of your mind. Until someone slips up. Then you let out the cute little giggle that makes my heart skip a beat." I blushed.

"Well Farkle you sure are a charmer. I'll be looking forward to my time with you." I smiled. He returned the gesture before leaving. A few more people came and left including Billy and Brandon who seemed interesting enough.

In came the boy who ran in late.

"Hi I'm Zay. Nice to meet you Princess." He smiled.

"Tell me about yourself Zay." I said already interested in his story.

"I'm a four from Midston. I'm in school. Well I'm horrible in school but I still attend."

"I'm sure you can't be that bad." I laughed.

"Let me sing em for you. DDDDDDF." He sang jokingly which I thought was kind of cute.

"I know that song! I once got five Ds in one day." I smirked proudly. My father was not impressed.

"You're Cinco de Maya." He laughed. Zay had a sense of humour. I could use that around here.

"Thank you Zay." I smiled he left and in came...the winker.

"Don't you think it's a little early in the relationship to be wearing a white dress? At least let me buy you dinner first." He smirked at me.

"Let's see if you'll make it through breakfast first." I scoffed.

"That hurts me Ma'am. " He placed his hand over is heart.

"You'll get over it. Now tell me about yourself."

"My name is Lucas Friar. I'm from Carolina. I play baseball and ride horses-"

"You ride horses?" I asked cutting him off. He nodded. "Like a cowboy?"

"Sure." Now I was the one smirking.

"Well you sound pretty interesting Huckleberry." I stated, proud of my new nickname for him.

"I guess I'll see you around then." He winked then left.

He was the last one so everyone I asked to stay behind stayed while the rest went for breakfast. There were about 15 boys I asked to stay.

"I'm sorry but this isn't going to work out. Have a safe trip home." I kept it short and sweet then left before I had to deal with the overly emotional boys.
