The Ghostbusters had saved New York City and finally got to turn the firehouse into "The Ghostbusters Headquarters" and business was better than ever. They had been getting calls left and right and Kevin had finally figured out how to use the phone.

She walked into the headquarters and up the stairs while Patty was in the middle of handing out everyone's sandwiches.

"And a turkey sandwich for Abby. Girl, if you throw Holtzmann out of that window again I'm going to throw this sandwich at you." Patty warned her.

Holtzmann started cracking up as Erin tried to suppress her laughter at Patty's joke. Once she saw the look on Abby's face, she couldn't hold back any longer. All of the girls turned to look at her.

"So nice of you to finally join us." Holtzmann said with her signature wink.

"I had trouble starting my car this morning and then there was a ton of traffic." Erin explained.

New York City was the worst place to drive in the brutal winter. If getting out of your driveway wasn't hard enough, the traffic was the worst. There was an accident every day most likely due to sliding on the ice and off of the road.

"Well, it's good to see you here alive." Abby commented. Erin sarcastically thanked her with a roll of her eyes and a small smirk.

She made her way over to the corner of the upstairs where she had a desk, a bookcase, and a whiteboard set up next to Holtzmann's work station. As much as Erin loved being around Abby and Patty, she needed a quiet space to concentrate. Since Holtzmann was always too deep into her work every day, she barely ever said a word except to say hello to Erin in the morning, the brief conversations on their lunch  break, and to say goodnight to Erin at the end of the work day.

She noticed a small Christmas tree decorated with multicolored string lights, garland, and ornaments. She noticed three that stood out. There was a Holtzmann, a Patty, and an Abby all in their Ghostbusters jumpsuits. Each had a small '2016' on the bottom. Her eyes scanned the tree as she spotted an Ecto 1 ornament with Ghostbusters 2016 written in cursive across the bottom.

"Who made these?" Erin asked, completely impressed with the impeccable detail.

"I remember you expressing your love of Christmas a few months ago. Erin Gilbert, would you do me the honor of hanging up your ornament?" Holtzmann flashed Erin a toothy grin as she held up the small Erin ornament. She should have known this was the works of Holtzmann. Impressed, and in the upmost admiration, Erin took the ornament from her hand and excitedly hung it on the branch right in between the mini Abby and Holtzmann ornaments.

"Holtz, thank you for this." Erin said, placing her hand on Holtzmann's upper arm.

Holtzmann just blushed and shrugged. "It's whatever." she mumbled. Erin gave her a gentle shove and Holtzmann gave a small smirk.

By the time the end of the day rolled around, they had successfully combatted 4 ghosts. It was a slow day but they didn't mind, given it was below freezing outside and before each run they all had to take turns scraping the snow off of the Ecto 1.

Once it was 5 o' clock, each of the girl's said goodbye to Kevin and reconvened for an end of the day meeting.

"I don't see much use in a meeting considering we only had 4 ghosts today." Abby said with a shrug of her shoulders.

"I'm not driving home tonight because the snow is coming down pretty hard." Patty added.

"Why don't we have a movie night, then? I'll turn up the heat and we can watch some Christmas movies." Erin suggested.

Everyone agreed to Erin's idea and they began preparing for their movie night. They set up the couch for two and ended up using the blankets and pillows Holtz keeps behind her work station for the other two for a makeshift bed.

Abby went downstairs to pop some popcorn and Patty set up the movie on the small flatscreen they had while Erin and Holtzmann straightened out the pillows and blankets. Abby returned with 2 bowls full of popcorn for each of them to share, handing one to Erin.

"I call the couch!" Abby and Patty yelled at the same time, followed by a fit of laughter from each of them.

"Erin and Holtzy get the floor." Patty cackled.

"I don't mind." Holtzmann said with a small smirk. Erin felt her cheeks heat up as she took the bowl of popcorn from Abby and took her spot on the floor.

They decided on Elf after Holtzmann insisted they watch it, only to be the first one to fall asleep. She was laying with her head in Erin's lap and Erin found herself absentmindedly running her fingers through Holtzmann's hair.

"Holtz is out." Erin tiredly mumbled, struggling to keep her eyes open.

Abby mumbled something incoherent as they three continued to watch the movie. Laughs and yawns filled the room for the next hour. As the movie came to an end, all four of them were out cold.

At some point during the night, Erin had woken up and shifted to position herself to lay down, careful not to wake Holtzmann who's head was now resting gently on Erin's chest and her arm thrown over Erin's stomach. She smiled at the sight, which she actually found to be quite adorable.

She reached over to grab the remote to shut off the TV which caused her body to shift slightly, causing Holtzmann to stir. Erin heard a small whine from Holtzmann as she moved closer to Erin and held on tighter. Erin chuckled softly and returned to the same position so both her and Holtzmann were comfortable.

"Erin?" she heard a small whisper come from beside her.

"Yeah, Holtz?" she responded, her eyes still closed.

"You're really cute when you're asleep." Holtzmann giggle whispered.

"Go back to sleep, Holtz."

The next morning Erin woke up to the smell of coffee and two small arms wrapped around her. She looked down to see that Holtzmann had not moved during the night at all; the girl slept like a rock.

"Good morning!" Abby chirped, carrying in a bag of bagels as Patty carried in a tray of coffee.

"Morning. Did you guys walk to the store?" Erin asked, rubbing her eyes. Abby nodded. "You could have taken my car, I parked in the parking garage." Erin added.

"It's all good, a little walking never hurt anyone." Patty said in a chipper tone, handing Erin a coffee. "Holtz is still asleep?" she asked incredulously. Erin nodded and shifted a bit, causing Holtzmann to stir.

"Mmm, I smell coffee." Holtzmann said, startling the three others and taking a sip of Erin's coffee.

"You have your own." Erin said, rolling her eyes. She couldn't help but smile at the blonde still laying on top of her.

"Eh, I like yours." Holtzmann replied.

"Well, we're going to head downstairs to get some work done. We'll leave you two to it." Abby said, flashing Erin a cheeky grin which Erin returned with furrowed eyebrows and a roll of her eyes.

"You're comfy." Holtzmann laughed, getting off of Erin, to her dismay, and heading over to her workbench. Erin just chuckled and made her way to her own workspace, trying to decide what to tackle first.

She stood up and was about to solve some equations on her whiteboard when she ran into Holtzmann who she now had pressed up against her workbench, and their faces only inches apart.

So, this was originally an entire book, but I lost the inspiration and motivation to keep it going, so I'm making it a 2, possibly 3, part one shot :)
